what does monochrome mean?

It’s when an image is only in one colour, like you only use different shades of that colour. Like black and white images are monochrome because technically black and white are the same colour, just different shades. Black and white seems to be the most common. Though you could have a picture in different shades of yellow, theoretically, as monochrome just means having one colour and doesn’t necessarily mean black and white.
