Adopting Characters

Adopting a character is when you take responsibility for a character that you did not create. Another RPer created the character and may have dropped out of the RP, or gone inactive, which lead the RP owner to put the character up for adoption.

Sometimes the situation will allow you to edit the character to a certain extent, while others may require you to keep the character as is, even taking over right from where the previous owner left off.

I have, I feel like my writing isn’t the same as the other person no matter what I do so ion wanna do it again

Ion like character adoptions either, there’s always a shift. Not ixy approved.

I have. I really enjoy adopting characters 'cause I enjoy the challenge of trying to do justice to the creator’s character. It’s similar to SGing for me. (wink)

After seeing a few posts from the original owner I did a terrible job. :joy:
It’s hard to recreate someone else’s writing.

No. I don’t want to insult anyone by changing their character again.

It was okay. I’ve only adopted two and one of them had no personality which make it harder to rp them but I didnt really care.

Probably not. But if I see one I might like to rp, then I’ll consider it.

It was nice but I think it was because the person’s writing style wasn’t so vastly different than mine. As for doing it again; It kind of depends on how the character was portrayed previously and the nature of the character. If it’s something that would be a challenge but no too much, I’d happily do it again.
