Are book titles important?

Does the title of a book impact whether or not you will read it? For me personally it can, the title will attract my attention more than the cover but obviously I won’t form an opinion until I at least read the blurb.

Do you guys think book titles are important?

Sometimes the title attracts me more then the cover so yes, it kind of is important to me. But if that book seems interesting I would still read it!

For me the title isn‘t really important, if I like the cover and the description then I‘ll read it!

Good titles catch people’s attention, so I’d say they’re somewhat important. It gets them to check out the book amongst others, but in the end the description is what makes them read.

Hm… they’re somewhat important. They need to have something to do with the rest of the book and if it doesn’t there must be a reason for that lol. Then I would say that any title is good that is easy to remember. I don’t think it necessarily has to be “catchy” because for me the cover is what’s catching my first attention. Anyways, a title that is easy to remember will also get it’s name thrown around a bit more. I know many books with numbers or years in the title and I never seem to remember what they’re called when I talk about them or even want to recommend them to somebody.

I don’t really care about the titles, because I don’t trust them to tell me anything about the story
