Hopefully as things change we can boost that number up some

All 4 still get in, but not matched with ones from the same user.
Which while it technically makes things easier for us because we can eliminate more options right off the bat, I’m accepting it, so that way we can flesh out the number of characters a little bit more.

Honestly, my biggest goal with this season is to get the ball rolling and make sure that when this season finishes, there’s a foundation of activity and people to do another. I feel like even though we don’t have as many people this time, at least more characters helps so its not so few options for matches.

Like if one person wants a male as an extra, either someone else can have 1 female extra, or I can either make an extra female (which would put me up to 4 total) to balance.

Basically either 2 people each make 1 extra (1 male and 1 female) or 1 person wants 1 male extra and i do an extra female.

Yeah, like its one of those things that you can do in other rps as a side thing, but not so much with ayto

You got it

It’s like people get an idea in their head and make characters similar to each other. :joy:
And it’s common for the characters to be attracted to those that are more similar to them anyway.

Its why I always try to have at least something about my characters where even if they fit a good amount of the likes, they also fit some of each other’s dislikes too

Interesting

Why does that seem so perfect though, honestly? :joy:

Which creates far more room for potential drama :smiling_imp:

You’re not the only one! :joy:
I’ve honestly never seen even a minute’s worth of the show.

I just love the RP so much though.
ayto season 3 was my very first rp, and I’ve been part of every season of the rp since. First as just an rper, then as a matchmaker, and finally through running the rp myself

The show is amazing! You and Sota are missing out.

I think it’s on Netflix if you have that. It’s on other streaming platforms to I would have to see which ones as I forgot

I don’t typically watch dating type shows.

Like I watched The Bachelor and those before, but I haven’t even watched that hardly in like a couple years :joy:

And when I watch reality competition shows, I really just watch Survivor, The Amazing Race, and The Traitors (which that one I’ve watched several countries’ versions).

Okay, just as long as you do realise it’ll be easier. Perhaps, 'cause it will be easier, we shorten the number of weeks in the competition/RP, an in less booth and ceremonies?

Yeah, I get that. Actually, is there a percentage you don’t want me to go under for perfect matches? I was thinking 60%, but if you want it to be 50% or not have one at all so every character gets in, that’s cool too.

Yup yup. Fair. If really necessary, I can make a third too… but only if ya need it.

Yeah, very interesting. There’s one match I’m really loving and I really hope there’s not a better one out there. :person_shrugging: But you never know.

'cause that’s life. Much of the time the person for you is not your person preference.

WAIT? What? Never? … Not even the Pansexual season?

I don’t really watch a whole lot of shows. Been binging a lot of old movies like, Fried Green Tomatoes, Practical Magic, Secondhand lions

Gotcha I like some of those shows to that you mentioned

Yeah I know

Weighing the pros vs cons, I figure the pros outweigh the cons.

Normally there’s 1 week more than the total number of matches, if I remember right? (I’d have to reference past seasons to check again) but 1 week less than the number of matches should balance it out some.

I’ll say the most important part is getting all the characters in.
As much as i like the matches to be the best possible

And all you can do sometimes is just cross your fingers and hope that match can stay.

Nope! Not even once.

Yeah, that’s fair. Agreed.

Yeah, one week less could be both fair and challenging.

Cool. Done.
If it helps… as of right now with the first 10, they’re all with their best possible matches… or closest to by a few percent.

I know, right. BUT… if a better match comes along, then it has to be so.

Sad, that is by far my favourite. But perhaps it was 'cause I related to it more.

Also, maybe I shall submit my female to you now since I’m only partway through my male.

It gives that time pressure to get it right, fast, and balances out the number of matches already eliminated.

I’m so curious who they all are.

Oooh exciting!

Yes, exactly. And keeps the RPs excited and on their toes to work it out.

Well, the 5 females are matched with the 5 males. Does that help?

Cool. There you go.

If I remember correctly the last 2 seasons it was mainly 80+ and a big part 90+, but it can simply also be a different way in how the compatibility has been calculated those seasons :woman_shrugging:

I do think this is a good way for you to do it yeah! Keeps it fair so you don’t simply pick one and make the perfect match for someone specific

For me it’s been ages since I’ve actually seen it. Like I’ve seen the first seasons and that’s it

Yeah, also because I could fairly easily calculate myself which of my characters are most compatible so it wouldn’t really be fair in that way either

I had to consciously really make an effort to not make my characters too similar. It’s tough honestly

Absolutely! It’s exciting

I did watch this season and it was so interesting as suddenly there were so many more possibilities in who could be matched.

Yeah, when I was matchmaker, I had a lot of higher percentages. But I don’t know if it was because of different methods, or luck of the draw on characters.

That’s so true too

It’s definitely hard sometimes

By the way everybody, I will start adding the character’s occupations to the slides today (not now of course since it’s nearly 4am and I’m about to go to bed) but those are coming soon, probably later in the day.

Now if only I can find an FC for my second male to add in too :sob:  wish me luck

Could be, particularly with two people doing it, so with differing opinions it could have been higher? :person_shrugging: I don’t know.

Yeah, that would be completely unfair if I created someone specific for that male and female character I not my character want.

I know, right. It was sooo good. Plus, the drama was sooo different.

Perhaps both, more towards the latter. As I absolutely love spreadsheets and formulas, so I’ve got quite extensive with the calculations working from the info given for each character. :person_shrugging: But yeah, different people we be. Or also, more newbies to AYTO this time around?

Submitted my girl. Brooke if you decide you’d like someone to make one or two more characters besides Jass let me know and I will gladly make someone. If not then that is fine just offering my assistance if you need more people

About to submit them. Sadly have still been sick most of the day but I found some energy to get those final details and be happy enough to get them in rn!

Okay I feel I maybe picked 4 too good looking people as FCs
Tho tbh, people in AYTO are generally really attractive people so in that way it makes sense I guess

@Littlefeets when do you expect the actual RP to start? Cause then I know how much priority I should give making all their banners

Ah I forgot I need to make my banner :joy:
