I want to state my opinion.
You may or may not know me, so let me introduce myself: I’m Marta, a heterosexual 17-year-old girl.
I have to say that I’m deeply concerned about the fact that there are people who just won’t let others be themselves. I was shocked when I found out that homophobes (that are sadly mostly straight, I believe) are doing something like that. It’s beyond my mind! Do they really think that this is a good idea,? How? How is bullying and verbally (or sometimes physically) attacking minorities right? The LGBT+ community has done nothing to deserve such treatment. They are only fighting for their rights. They are not making heterosexuals less important. They just want to be treated equally.
I have nothing against people that are different than me. I think everybody can look like they want to, can do what they want to, can love who they want to. As long as they are not hurting others or me, I respect them, because how they look or who they love doesn’t define their personality. I wish other people were aware of that too.
I don’t know how to stop those ”activists”. I think all we have to do is to stay strong, the LGBT+ community and its supporters. We have to show our power. That we are not afraid. I know it may not be safe and I don’t want to make anyone of you put themselves in danger… but I believe that without any reaction those ”operations” are going to become more common. But I really hope they won’t.

I’m seething, literally seething with anger
I literally don’t understand the people who perpetuate this kind of hate, like why would you ever want to cause people pain and trauma? I don’t get it. They’re people too and they have feelings and it doesn’t freaking matter if you don’t “support their lifestyle” or whatever the hell; you shouldn’t get to make them feel less than. We’re all deserving of equality, and you shouldn’t get to hurt the people who are brave enough to embrace themselves for who they are.
