Apparently, this whole thing could be a hoax to scare people just to see the extent of who was able to fall for it. Since the idea is around, there could still be harmful accounts be made, but it shouldn’t be as bad as originally thought. It just doesn’t add up that that 4chan users actually had the time to create a functional movement. Even on that note, an event like this happens each year in June, it’s just never been as widespread as before.

This is part of my concern about this, that it stops people from being openly a member of a minority community for fear of being attacked, which shouldn’t happen anyways, and then makes progress towards some kind of terrible silencing without even having to do much.

If we just don’t acknowledge the 4chan users, then that starves them of the attention they want. We’re all in a lockdown and no is going to visit another’s house just for being part of the pride community. If anything, this ‘operation’ was just a way that the entire community was able to band together. We can come out stronger from this united and that’s what keeps those 4chan users away from the spotlight.

I’m not gonna lie I have seen people on social media say that they have had stuff sent to them by pridefall accounts, we haven’t had any here yet as far as I know but I do ask you all to remain vigilant and flag anything transphobic/homophobic as you would anyway.

The fact that we LGBTQ+ members have to cover up our sexualities/genders and essentially go on an identity lockdown at a certain time is horrendous. This operation called “Pride Fall” just goes to show how sad, pathetic, and disgusting people are.
