You could also make it sort of like the situation Britney Spears is in rn (at least we believe so)
You make a famous actor who used to be a child prodigy but you make the producers and managers and the actor’s family so manipulative and controlling of the actor that they control all their accounts and money, they buy them the clothes they think would be the best to promote the actor, they make their evening plans and all the places they go to are scheduled and they’re only to promote something or earn money for it, all the stuff they act in is decided by the family, etc etc. That way maybe the only real thing that they decided on was the bodyguard who follows them and they fall for each other
