One time. The one f^^king time he didn’t pick up the phone. He didn’t call back and then she was gone, and there was only one person he knew for certain who could take blame. The number of times he had listened to that voicemail… It only brought more pain, but it was her last words to him. “Oh, this can’t happen now? Tell me Annie, when wouldn’t be a bad time to talk about how you’re why my sister is dead?” The last thing Finch ever told him was in that voicemail, and he couldn’t say he knew exactly how directly Annie had caused it, but Finch herself said that she was going out for something to do with Annie. If she hadn’t of left the house that night, she’d still be alive. Sure, bringing this up at her father’s wedding, or any wedding in general, wasn’t ideal, but he couldn’t just look at her and act like nothing was wrong when she was, at least in part, responsible for the death of his sister. “And I’m not going anywhere. If anyone should, it should be the one of us that got Finch killed.”
