Mason laid on the floor of the room - relishing in the way her body laid on his. He missed moments like this… moments where the world would wash away and it was just the two of them. Silence filled the room as he simply was lost in his thoughts, his hand drawing imaginary lines on her bare back - a few feet away from their scattered clothes all over the floor. Maybe what had happened was a mistake… maybe he should have gotten up, gotten dressed, and left. However, he couldn’t help himself as he stayed… possibly because a part of him knew… a big part that if he left, they couldn’t go back to this. After all, Mason had a girlfriend and despite… whatever this was… he wasn’t leaving Sienna. Mason Mitchell loved Sienna Esposito… but love was dynamic. It wasn’t one-dimensional, and so one couldn’t blame the man in the room for loving the girl he was with too… they had a history… a past that he could never forget.
Mason found his finger going to a small tattoo on the small of her back - a simple M matching his own tattoo - though with the initial of her name. She never got it covered… in retrospect they were being dumb kids getting a tattoo for each other… but that fact did surprise him. “Why did you keep it?” he whispered - almost as if anything above a whisper would ruin the illusion they had found themselves in. An illusion in which none of what stood outside that door mattered.
Though that was the thing… it did matter. The moment they walked outside those doors - they would be different people. “I…I still…” he started, a sigh leaving his mouth knowing that the next few words that would leave his mouth would ruin the mood instantly. “I can’t leave Sienna…” he finished… “And… you can’t tell her. I know how it sounds… trust me… but Sienna can’t know about this. Not yet.”
