Laying on the floor with their bare skins touching each other, his hand trailing lines on her back as she laid there, honestly happier and more peaceful than she had been in a very long while. And it’s not just because she got laid get your mind out of the gutter. She was just in peace, this unknown room became a safe bubble with no outside world problems in it, at least for a while, nothing but the two of them.
“Why did you keep it?” he asked in a soft whisper as she felt his fingers on the area of her tattoo, which she didn’t remove even now. Though thinking back, she never actually though about removing it, even all these years after, I suppose it just represented a special time in her life and a person in it that made it special. Maybe it was a little stupid to get it in the first place, but now? Now it was a part of her. ”I didn’t want to remove it, it became a part of me. Just like you became a part of my heart, even when we’re not together” she told him softly. And it was true, she didn’t see the need to erase something from her life just because it ended, that’s not how life works, it at least not for her.
”I know” she whispered quietly after staying quiet for a moment after he spoke again, bursting their little bubble which was bound to be burst. She knew they couldn’t be together, and it wasn’t just because of Sienna. And as much as she wished things could be different, they couldn’t, at least not right now. The girl turned herself to a position where she was facing him, softly stroking his cheek with her thumb ”She doesn’t deserve it. And even without her, there are things you don’t know, and there are things that I don’t know, reasons why we can’t be together and I can’t fight them. It’s just the way it is. And as much as I wish it wasn’t, we had our time. And I get it now, I get that you had your reason to leave and I’m not mad.” she added, planting a soft kiss on his forehead ”keep doing what you’re doing, because if anyone is capable of it, that’s you” she said, finishing with a soft smile, looking at him close in the eyes trailing her fingers on the little details on his face, as if she wasn’t going to get the chance to do that ever again.
