Blue Royalty: New Blood

Previously, Paige believed her own brother was on the top of her hit list but right now, for this bloody moment, it was Quinn Castillo. Dude, go fck a tree or something. Honestly, Paige didn’t want you here. Whereas once upon a time, Quinn’s opinion was one she held in the highest regard, at the current moment, his opinion meant less to her than a pile of sht. He was bloody bonkers if he thought she was going to do anything he said? Rather, knowing Paige, she’d do the opposite.

A laugh left her lips when he responded to her, telling her that he cared. What a joke. The only person Quinn Castillo cared about was himself. Nothing wrong with that, darling, just embrace it. Don’t lie straight to Paige’s face to sell a lie. “Darling, that is truly rich coming from you. You don’t care, you never did. So please, continue to not care somewhere else because I’m occupied.”

He was starting to p!ss her off. The clench he had on her hand wasn’t reduced, and that followed with the now dull pain in her back was annoying her even more. “Really I do…” she didn’t get to finish her sentiment before his words covered her own as he told her that he wouldn’t let her make… basically the same mistakes his sister did? In other words, getting killed over something stupid. She had heard about his sister’s death, and maybe once upon a time, she would have reached out and comforted him. But, he was the one who made sure they had no relationship before that. For a second, she was at a loss for words… but soon enough her previous disposition met her lips “Well that sucks… for you, darling. But in case you haven’t been listening, I don’t care about being involved in someone else’s family drama - I have more than enough of my own.”

Maybe it was the rudeness in her response that got him to loosen his grip. Who the hell knew? All she did know was that within that brief second, she pulled out her hand and immediately, put up a middle finger as she walked away. Part of her wanted to do exactly what he said not to… but she also was smart enough to know he wasn’t going to let her, so instead, she just started walking away. Next to the park, there were rows of stores - one of particular importance being an ice cream store that had a back in one hour sign. In her pocket, Paige had her key picker, however, ignoring that she simply pulled out her house keys and picked out a random key that gave her access inside. Thank you manager she fcked two weeks ago. Unlocking the door, Paige put in the code he had told her for the alarm - inactivating the parlor security system before walking to the employee’s side to get something to eat. Hearing a ding a frown met her features again seeing Quinn had followed her. “Store’s closed, loser,” Paige stated, looking for her favorite ice cream though sighing when realizing they were out. Quinn was saying something, but clearly, Paige Pierce was no longer listening as she walked towards the Freezer room to get a new container of Mint Chocolate Ice Cream. Though, of course, as she went to grab the ice cream she heard someone come in behind her. “Take a fcking hint, Quinn. Like god, you’ve gotten fcking duller over the years, I swear.”

Paige struggled to hold the ice cream, a pain pulsing in her back as she got a grip on the container, but she was no little btch. The pain never stopped her before.
