Do you know how long it took Phoebe to prepare for prom? How many ideas for what to wear she changed until she got to that perfect one? How excited she’s been for so long and still is, today, when it was finally happening. Ever since she was a girl she dreamt of that perfect, princess like prom when she could meet the love of her life like her parents did. It was one of her favorite stories but… Growing up you learn that something like that was not meant for everyone. And Phoebe was one of those people, no matter who she went with or who she snatched there to waste her time with. There was only one ending to that night and she became perfectly fine with it. A few weeks ago she thought her whole getting ready process would start early in the morning with her dragging her mother along with her - to get her nails done, hair, makeup… Everything a girl loves since her sister was still being delusional but that’s not what ended up happening since a few things changed.
It seemed like everything was coming back into place back at home but there was one thing missing… Until that thing, person came back. Just imagine the surprise and a little bit of annoyance (but we don’t talk about that, she was still mad) on Phoebe’s face when she found Amelia in their house she was never supposed to leave. But what surprised her the most was that her sister was there, apologizing. What, you realized how stupid everything was? Sorry… We’re not going to be mean to Amie… That’s what Phoebe didn’t end up doing and that was strange for her since she usually doesn’t want to hear apologies and doesn’t have a problem not talking to someone again, but this was different. Of course it was different and of course she wouldn’t do something like that to her own sister, no matter how much her actions and judgment hurt her. If Phoebe had to name only one person she couldn’t live withouth, it would be her twin. But hugging it out didn’t mean that everything was magically alright, everything was fixed… Far from that. But one step at a time.
After such a long time of things being messy and the house being empty most of the time, it was weird not being alone in your own bedroom. ”I’m an idiot, aren’t I?” ”Just a little bit,” setting the curling iron down on the desk, Phoebe whispered as her gaze shifted to the mirror reflection of her sister laying on her bed. There was no… Bad thoughts behind Phoebe agreeing with Amelia, because let’s be real, what happen it did make her look like an idiot and Phoebe didn’t like seeing her that way. She could understand anything… But that? She will never understand why she did that… With JP. OUT OF EVERYONE who would’ve been good for your stupid plan you picked HIM? If she got the chance to talk about it normally that first time when Amie freaked out Phoebe would’ve asked her what she was thinking about going to JP and everything would’ve been fine… Let’s just go back to what was happening and stop hating on JP… For a moment. With a soft smile, Phoebe joined her sister on the bed, wrapping her arms around her. She’s risking ruining her hair for you, please appreciate it.
Well… At least now she knew what was going through her sister’s mind when she did what she did and… Phoebe felt bad? Sad? Look… She didn’t really know what was happening with their parents, she didn’t know the whole story and she could only imagine how difficult it was to actually be there at that moment but that was… Such an awful reason to go and, not only have sex with someone but make a contract and do much more than that. Putting everything aside, the idea of that was brilliant, that she had to give to Amie but she was… Amie. She should’ve known better. ”You don’t really owe me an explanation. I just wish you told me so I could tell you how stuuuupid you were acting, but it’s fine… Don’t worry about it,” tightening her grip as her hand gently moved up and down Amies’ back, Phoebe continued. ”It was very sh!tty… Everything was, but you needed to figure that out on your own… I just can’t believe you thought I would really do… Something like that. Okay fiiine, I might be capable of that but not when it comes to you,” pulling back so she could look at her sister, Phoebe laughed, trying to keep everything light and not ruin this very special day. ”I can’t be mad at you forever. What would I do without you, huh? Do you know how bored I was while you were…” That’s when Phoebe’s expression slightly changed again as her mind went to JP. ”JP? Really?” And she couuuuldn’t help but finally comment on it, shaking her head in disgust. ”Gross,” and with that she jokingly… Maybe not, made some distance between the two, dropping her hands off of her sister. ”Was it… At least… Worth it?”
