Did Sophie expect herself to be watching over some students in detention while a teacher left to do something? Definitely not, and she certainly didn’t expect herself to enjoy her time with one of the very people she had been told to watch so much. Let alone that she would be going to prom with that same person. Sure, she met him while he was in detention, but he was so nice. Plus, he made her laugh and they had so much fun together. He had ended up sending her a message about a dog that he ended up adopting, which how could she resist the adorable creature anyway, especially when that means puppy play dates with her dog too. Now, there he was at her house to take her to prom, which Sophie couldn’t be much more excited about. The guy in front of her was so sweet, funny, and really, really cute. He even found a unique way to ask her. Fine, it may have been messy, but he really put that effort into it and asked her to go with him. How could she have refused? So there Sophie was, blushing as Mateo told her that she looked really pretty. Her family had already told her that she looked like a princess, but it’s different when your date is the one that thinks you look pretty. “Thanks.” she said sweetly. “You look really, really nice too Matty.” Sophie smiled more as she then looked at the flowers he had. “One, my mom wants a few pictures of us, and then I’m ready to go.” she said with a bright smile, excited about prom. “And two… I think people would notice. Dawg is too adorable for anyone to not notice.”
