All Eddie wanted, was to understand. It seemed like everything in his head was shrouded in a fog. Especially when it came to his childhood, which included Paige. Eddie just wanted to know the truth. His family, they would sugar coat it and avoid pushing him. He hated being a burden on them, and being treated like a porcelain doll certainly didn’t make him feel like any less of a burden, or any less confused. Eddie knew he was broken, but he just wanted to what pieces he was missing. All he could do was wonder why when he looked at Paige. She only made him question everything more. Before she arrived in Beryl, he had been able to just continue on with life like normal, but once she reentered his life, so much of the past was brought back into the discussion and the more he found out, the less he could get it out of his head. “I’m not stopping you.” he said, gesturing to how there was now a clearly open path for her now since he had already stepped to the side when he first asked her about how they knew each other. “I know it was a long time ago, but I want to know…” Eddie paused, just for a moment. None of it, none of how she had been with him made any sense. He just wanted to understand better. “Help me understand and then I’ll leave you alone, whatever you want.”
