Destiny couldn’t help but roll her eyes, even if she shouldn’t. Besides, he was just concerned. “Does it look like I’m drunk? You’re probably just afraid to get your perm wet in the water.” She teased. That was the best way to deflect the attention away from her and it always seemed to work whenever Adonis became annoyed. She turned forward again and started walking ahead. “If you don’t want to come, that’s fine, but I’m going to the pool.” She honestly wondered where Maddie was since she was supposed to be his “date” but she guessed he abandoned her. That was one of the reasons she didn’t know if he was a good guy or not, but tonight was just a fun, relaxed time, so of course she wanted to hang out with him. As she walked she wondered why she was wasting her time with him when they always ended up arguing, but looking at the moon reflecting on the glistening water, she just wanted someone to enjoy it with her. “So, what’s your body count?” She asked while walking closer to the pool. She wanted that question to catch him off guard and to see the look on his face. That would tell her it was probably 1000 even if he lied about it.
