Athena smiled when Luna said their family sounded great. “Yeah, they are.” They agreed with a nod, knowing that at some point in the future, they would love to introduce her to them. “I don’t believe in god or any of that sh-t but I mean it when I say that Chris was like our guardian angel. After everything that happened during my parents’ divorce, we didn’t actually feel safe until we met him.” They admitted, glancing down at their arm where their tattoo was hiding under their sleeve. There were very few people who knew what Athena just told Luna, mostly family and their closest friends but she had been open with them about her mom, they felt that they should be more open with her. They listened to her talk about her stepfamily, noticing the stark contrast between them. Athena viewed their step-family as their saving grace and Luna viewed hers as a burden. “Have you tried talking to your dad about going away with him alone? You never know, he might like that idea.” They suggested, being somewhat hopeful for her, which was a rare emotion for them.
