“No, they wouldn’t know. They know next to nothing about my biological family, just that none of them wanted to take me in when my bio parents died.” He responded, shaking his head before listening to Richard’s answer. “Well, our father wasn’t exactly the family type, so maybe she just wanted to raise you with someone she knew would be a good father to you.” He suggested with a small shrug. After he told his brother about their father’s fate, the other guy fell silent. Xavier waited, watching him carefully for his reaction. Richard then expressed his condolences over the death of Xavier’s biological parents and Xavier had to bite his tongue to keep himself from reacting because he knew it would not be the appropriate one. “I don’t miss them.” He let this one comment slip through, the least harsh of the options he had in his head. “I’m much better off now.” He added, to give a bit of explanation for his harsh comment. He nodded as Richard changed the topic. “Yeah, it could be a lot worse.” He agreed. “Talking to your mom sounds like a good idea because you have no idea what the circumstances she was in were or what led to her decision. Finding that out might give you a bit of closure.” He advised with a small shrug.
