Did Leon feel bad about leaving Atlas alone with his friends? A little. However, he had promised Persie that he would be there for her and he was going to follow through. Which began with no longer treating her like a secret and properly introducing her to his family. Today, he and Persephone were going to their first ultrasound together and she’d given him permission to invite Jae. Of course, Hera would also be coming as part of Persephone’s family.
“I made coffee.” Jae announced as she got in the car, sitting in the passenger seat beside Leon and putting her purse in her lap.
“Thanks, Jaebird.” He responded, taking his cup from her. “By the way, we’re going to pick up Persephone and Hera on the way.” She nodded, putting her own coffee cup in the cupholder. Leon waited for her to do up her seatbelt before driving towards where he was meeting Persephone and Hera. Jae insisted on controlling the radio. When he pulled up outside of Hera’s house, he sent both Persie and Hera a text letting them know he had arrived. “So, how are things with you and Sato?” He asked her as they waited, picking up his coffee and taking a sip.
"I wish Appa could meet him.”
Leon nodded. He knew the feeling. He’d felt it with Atlas and again now with Yeong-Mi. He wished that he could shield his sister from those emotions but he knew that wasn’t possible and that hurt the most.
“He would’ve loved him.” He reassured her, putting his hand on top of hers.
“Hey. Both hands on the wheel!” Jae scolded and Leon rolled his eyes.
“Jae. We’re parked. I could have no hands on the wheel and it wouldn’t make a difference.” He reminded her, getting out of the car before she had a chance to respond because he saw Persie and Hera leaving the house and he wanted to open the car door for her.
