Though he was still overall surprised by the way the events were unfolding, the shock of it all was wearing off some. He certainly wasn’t able to take control of the situation, but he could step, with a slight hint of caution, closer towards Paige again to kiss her, at least able to show he wasn’t only capable of standing there unmoving.
