Xavier pulled up to the manor with Athena, who had reluctantly agreed to let him drive them there after realizing that it was their only way there. “See Athens, that wasn’t too bad.” He teased them as they got out of the car. They rolled their eyes as they walked away from him, muttering something about seeing him in the morning.
He pulled out his phone as he heard a text message come through, telling him who his group members were. As he read the names, one thought crossed his mind: Oh, f-ck. Both Elijah and Tyler were in his group. He didn’t have anything against Elijah, not anymore anyways, but with Tyler, after the disaster of a conversation they’d had the last time they spoke, he wasn’t sure if he could spend an entire night in a group with him.
When he finally found his group, he felt a little relieved to find Elijah and Tyler engaged in a conversation, only because it gave him a reason to completely ignore and avoid making eye contact with the latter. He walked up to the only member of his group that he hadn’t previously dated, who happened to be Sammi, one of Athena’s friends. “Hey, Sammi,” He greeted her with a quick wave. “Awesome costume. Did you make it yourself?”
