Leon cleared his throat as he felt the tension between Adonis and Denise rise. He was mildly entertained by it but at the same time, he knew that he was bound to get caught in the middle of it. Which is exactly what happened as Denise directed a question at him that was clearly meant for his friend. “Yeah, a drink would be great. I’ll have a gin and tonic.” He responded with a small shrug. “Adonis?” He added, redirecting the question and letting Adonis answer for himself. He knew that it probably wasn’t what Denise had wanted to happen, but he wanted to put an end to whatever the hell was happening between the two of them.
