“I did, for the record.” He said in response to Elijah saying he had wondered if Leon went to the hospital. “My mom wouldn’t let me go to sleep until I went because she was scared that if I fell asleep, I wouldn’t wake up.” He added, looking down at his hands, which were resting in his lap. He listened as Elijah explained how he wasn’t the one who chose Leon’s house, placing all the blame on Gerald. He didn’t see any reason to not believe him and he had to admit that it made sense. “I believe you.” He told him as the roller coaster climbed. He closed his eyes, tilting his head back as the coaster dropped, the adrenaline bringing a smile onto his face.
