Blue Royalty: New Blood

“Don’t get yourself all riled up, it’s not like I said anything bad about you.” Destiny head fell back following a loud laughter from exhaustion. “Okay, you’re a joke.”

“Anyways if you came here to act all tough and strong, you can leave now.” Ari said with a shoo motion. Being around Ari in class or anywhere was already irritating to Destiny but now she was standing face to face in front of her and all she could think about was how she would rather be anywhere but here. But of course she wasn’t going to back down especially since she was telling her to. “I’m not one of your bodyguards okay? I’m not just going to leave because you tell me to.”

Ari continued to insult her. “Oh my gosh you hurt my feelings!” she said as if she was fainting in a play. “I honestly don’t give a damn what you think and I have my ways of finding any secret of yours.” She didn’t have any idea on how she was going to find her secrets but looking at her right now, she wanted to try as hard as she could. Harder then the motivation he had for finishing her song. “and yeah, someone like you definitely has skeletons in your closet so just be on the look out.” She said pointing a finger at her. She was going to leave but she wanted to hear one last crazy thing that could possibly come out of Ari’s mouth.

It wasn’t a great morning for Paige. Honestly, how else was she supposed to react when she went downstairs to her fcking car and it was gone? Yes, gone. As in it disappeared. As in someone fcking stole it. In retrospect, she had other cars. Sure, but there was something special about that one. Maybe it was simply the fact that she liked holding it over an idiot’s head - speaking of the idiot, she knew exactly who had likely taken her damn car and she wasn’t dealing with that sht this morning. Grabbing the keys to her motorcycle, Paige Pierce had every intention of driving away and confronting the little btch… until, of course, she found Mason Mitchell standing outside her door - waiting for her with an annoyed expression.

“Long time no see darling, I was just assuming you didn’t want to talk to me after avoiding me for months… or should I say years. After all, you just fcking love to disappear on me… don’t worry, I didn’t take it to heart, now if you don’t mind,” Paige started - pointing at the road which he was blocking.

“Paige, get in - we need to talk.”

Oh Mason. That was a bloody long useless conversation as she blasted music in his car, not talking to the man or even looking at him. “So how’s your little girlfriend doing?” she asked - talking for the first time when they arrived at school. For the most part, she had been avoiding him, until this moment that is. She could see him starting to talk but before he said anything, she put her hand up. “You know what Mason. I don’t want to fcking know. Have fun with her… have fun with your quaint little life here and stay out of my way. Okay?” and with that, she left his car and walked towards the school even more annoyed than she had been at the start. But thankfully, the perfect target was right there - laying on the middle of the school floor. Walking towards him, Paige put her heel on his crotch - adding just enough pressure so he wouldn’t get up. “Good morning assh0le. I want my fcking car back,”

“I’m not one of your bodyguards okay? I’m not just going to leave because you tell me to.” How bothersome, why couldn’t she just leave on command? Ari glared at her, “It doesn’t matter if you’re not one of my bodyguards just leave, I don’t want whatever you have.” She told Destiny, "Who knows what i’ll contact around you? Well, probably anything that isn’t nice. " Ari crossed her arms. The girl had came to meet her and Ari thought it was already time to shoo, she seriously couldn’t stand the sigh of her face any longer.

"Oh my gosh you hurt my feelings!” Ari rolled her eyes, “Do you even have feelings to hurt?” Ari pouted, “You’re the worst of the uglies, you’re no fun.” She said, Ari sat back down and got her phone out. She texted her friend again 'bruh sorry for wasting time, some girl disturbed me." She texted. “I honestly don’t give a damn what you think and I have my ways of finding any secret of yours.” Ari smirked at her, “Well, good luck.” And for someone who doesn’t care about what Ari thought of her, she took everything to the heart. And Ari knew the girl was just bluffing, what secret could she possibly find? “and yeah, someone like you definitely has skeletons in your closet so just be on the look out.” Ari slightly glanced at her, "Yeah all you would see there are fake skeletons, so don’t bother. But you, you have so many real skeletons. "

Since when does wait a second mean please, continue kissing me? Stop, that’s what he wanted to say before her lips moved back to his and he couldn’t fight that. For someone that seemed so innocent and lost all the time, she sure knew what she was doing. Her every movement really not making this situation easy for him. Finley moved his hand to the back of her neck, pulling her down even closer, glad they were in the hallway so he wasn’t as tempted to do anything more than this. A groan escaped his lips the moment she straightened up to grab her phone, a displeased expression on his face… That’s not how he should react. This was bad. We don’t like this girl… But this weird Amelia was not that bad… ”For now?” Clearing his throat, he finally moved his hands from her, letting his arms fall down to the ground. That little kiss she left on top his nose making him crunch it up, not pleased with it but it was easily forgotten when she got up. ”Wait- Fck,” she was not supposed to get up. Bringing his one knee up, his eyes closed. Disturbing thoughts…

Remember how he thought this was one of the best mornings of his life and it will only get better? Wrong. It kept getting worse. ”The fu-” Disturbing thoughts? Paige’s face was just enough. It was nice having someone sitting on top of him, but having someone’s heel pressing on his crotch… Why did he deserve that? Destiny watched as Ari sat down and started talking to her friend again on the phone. One thing she hated the most was being ignored, so that just made her angrier.

“Bruh sorry for wasting time, some girl disturbed me.” Destiny quickly leaned over and spouted out loudly. “Your friends a b1tch into her phone.

“Yeah all you would see there are fake skeletons, so don’t bother.”

“Yep, fake like you. You know what I’m done. I’d rather be anywhere in the world right now.” With that she left the bleachers in a huff, not really looking or knowing where she was going. It had been a long time since she got this angry, but something about Ari just brought out the worst in her. She quickly went into the bathroom and pulled out her phone, ready to talk to one of her friends about what just happened.

Maybe someone who actually cared would be wondering why Fin… whatever his last name was… was lying in the middle of the school hall way. Then again, Paige Pierce wasn’t someone who qualified under that list - nor did she care about what people, or Fin, in particular, thought about her. What she did care about was the fact that her car was missing and she had no idea where the hell it was. “Don’t play coy, darling. It’s not a good look on you, but then again… not much is. Especially with a face like that but don’t worry, plastic surgery can fix that right up.” With those words, Paige rolled her eyes when she let him push her leg off his… well does she need to spell it out for you? He was just lucky she hadn’t pressed harder.

As he stood up, she stared back at him with an annoyed glare as he asked about what she did to the care. “Oh don’t try that. You are the only bloody person who wanted that car enough to go and steal it out of the garage. For fcks sake, Finn. Give it back - we both know I won it off you, or are you too much of a sore loser to accept the fact that daddy can’t buy everything for you - including a win?”

With those words, Paige waited for a reply… some excuse he was probably going to make up. Though she felt her phone buzzing instantly. Taking her phone out, she glanced at the phone - noting that many students had posted photos of Fin and Phoebe basically having sex on the school floor - likely why she found him laying there. “I swear your taste in… everything but cars is absolutely disgusting. Now if you’d just give the car back to me, I’ll be on my way and thankfully not have to lose another braincell talking to you,”

Halloween night. Most of it was a blur - finding a secret room with Olivia Gardiner, dancing with her… kissing her… and then their eventual escape. His mind went back to her words about the book - Rebekah Azure… VCs cousins? It was an interesting sentiment - but the strangest thing was even when researching the older Azure family, information was hard to come by. Almost like… someone had paid to have it wiped from every database available. That was fine… it just meant perhaps Mason would have to go old school and make his way to the district records building to see if he could find any similar… items or mentions about the secret room. Though besides the book, the other thing that stayed in his mind was… Olivia Gardiner. He hadn’t been able to get his mind off the way their bodies synced to the music as they danced for… who even knows how long. Laughter filled the night as the only thing the two cared about at the moment was the rhythm of the music - likely how many others had done years earlier. Perhaps that’s what led… well… to a kiss that shouldn’t have occurred. It was quick… and one that he asked… told Olivia to keep to herself… after all… Mason was dating Sienna and he couldn’t… lose her.

So after two weeks… inclusive of thoroughly avoiding Olivia and just trying to learn more about the diary and the Azure family… Mason figured he needed to ask someone who maybe had more connections than he did. He just loved a good mystery and this was one that he couldn’t let go of, which is why on his way to school - after picking up Paige Pierce for… well… reasons - he found himself walking inside the school with a particular person in mind. After Paige disappeared on him, Mason went to a girl that he considered… almost as smart as him. “VC… mind a quick chat?” Mason asked, walking up behind her as she put something in her locker. As he caught her attention, he led the girl to an empty classroom - looking at her with a strange expression… one of… curiosity. Part of him wondered if she knew… Olivia and him… or…well it didn’t matter.

“I know you have some… pretty good hacking skills… and I was wondering if you could get me some information on… the Azure family?” Mason asked, involving her in something that maybe she had a right to know about since it involved her cousins. Before she could ask why, he took the journal out of his pocket and placed it in front of her. “Found this two weeks ago and for some reason, it seems Rebeckah Azure doesn’t exist outside of this book. Though if you’re not up to it, I can always ask your dad. Isn’t he the go-to person for questions?”

Sophie wasn’t sure what was going through the mind of the girl, who soon introduced herself as Olivia, as their eyes met. What she could tell though, even in just a moment, was that Olivia seemed like a good, trustworthy person, something which made Sophie’s smile a little bit easier. “Its nice to meet you too Olivia.” Sophie wasn’t having the best day so far, but meeting Olivia was a chance for things to start looking up again. Meet someone new, someone that seems friendly and safe, and maybe make a new friend. Sophie would always gladly make a new friend. There’s no reason not to be nice to people, and you can never go wrong with having more friends, so that’s who Sophie is, a friendly face to anyone and everyone. The more the merrier. “It was a big change to come to a new school when I was younger… so I can only imagine how crazy it must be to be at a new school now, especially if this place is really different from where you were before you came here…” Sophie paused for a second, hoping that she wasn’t pressing on something that was tough on her. “But I’m here too if you need any help, or anything really.”

“Happy birthdayyy toooo meeee, happyyyy birthdayyyy tooo meeee, happy fckingg birthday to mysellllffffff…” there was a large grin on Ricky’s lips as he stood in Logan’s room, screaming at the top of his lungs with a breakfast tray in his hands. “happy birthdayyyyy toooooo meeee” . Was Ricky being purposefully annoying? Mayyyybeee. Was Logan now awake? Yes. The girl had come home the night before very late due to her part time job, and he knew she had to wake up early. With Ricky actually not being able sleep for most of the night, he thought, why the hell not. Why couldn’t he sleep? Well… having your first birthday without your brothers there could be problematic… to someone who cared… he clearly… didn’t. Anyways…

As she groaned awake, Ricky jumped on the bed beside Logan - putting the tray so she could eat before school. Was it sweet? No… please don’t call Ricky sweet. He was the furthest fcking thing from that. He just… was bored and Logan happened to be there. After a short and “sweet” (not really) conversation about how Ricky was going to effectively skip school today because birthday boys don’t go to school - which apparently Logan didn’t believe was a real thing - he found her leaving as well because apparently, that sentiment didn’t apply to her. What a borrrringgg chick. In any case, after she left, Enrique was left with a few options - most of which included avoiding his brothers which was great, and avoiding his parent’s phone calls trying to schedule their annual family birthday dinner. The only phone call he did answer was Isabella’s and… I mean how could he not? That was his little sister.

It was around late morning when his dog started barking, meaning that a walk was imminent. How sad… he really had to put on clothes. Yeah… he wasn’t lying about the birthday suit thing. Though, he wasn’t going to bother wearing a shirt when he didn’t need to which is exactly why he ended up walking outside shirtless with his dog in tow.

Did he expect to see one Annie Williams walking up to him with a… well… pretty damn strange request. Especially after he had seen her drive with the last time they were in a car together - and let’s just say, it wasn’t pretty. “Well… I’d think I would have to come anyways, seeing how you’re…” he started, trying to figure out how to phrase the next par to his sentiment. “Well let’s be honest, Annie, driving’s not your strong suit.” There was a smirk on his lips as he waited for her to continue. Perhaps most people would have said no in this situation - trust, after all, was a hard thing to give in this century. But, then again, Enrique wasn’t most people. He didn’t say anything as he started walking back towards his building, but when he was a few steps away he finally added “You coming?”

Ten minutes - that’s how long it took for Ricky to change and make his way back towards his aquamarine convertible - sitting in the driver’s seat with the girl situated beside him. “Annie. You kind of have to tell me where I’m going,” he stated after a few seconds of waiting in silence.

Avoiding Elio for the past days seemed to be going pretty well if you ask vc. But now Mateo is back, which was a good thing for as long as he didn’t find out about the… things that happened on Halloween. But if we keep talking about it it would eventually come to attention, so let’s move on.

Another day was on the agenda, Veronica and Olivia walked into the school, but soon enough the girl turned abruptly with a off the top of her head excuse and went to a different direction as she saw someone coming their way. Ah, mason. What’d you do boy? Not good

”Morning mason” she said in response to his request of a chat ”it better be interesting” she said as he dragged her to an empty classroom nearby

”oh hello there good boy digging stuff about my family” she said jokingly with a raised brow ”I could help you.” she started and turned more serious. ”but why should I?” she added with a curiously raised brow.

Ignoring her comments that honestly didn’t mean much to him… she’s the one talking about plastic surgery, the only thing Fin was focused on was his car missing. He was really close to getting it back only for Paige to let someone steal it again. ”Stop with useless chit chat, I don’t need anything from my father,” how funny it is that this one girl could so easily ruin his whole mood and make him completely forget about what happened just seconds ago. And he really didn’t have time, never had, for silly comments that were supposed to make him react in a certain way. ”Now what do you mean my car was stolen? Sorry to disappoint you, darling, but I don’t have it and even if I did I’d never give it back to you,” didn’t Paige come from a wealthy family or something like that? He was never interested in finding out more about her but some things you can’t help but overhear so wasn’t she supposed to be the one he should trust with his car? You know… high security and all that shii?

”You…” Laughing in disbelief, Finley shook his head, interlocking his fingers behind his neck. Processing what happened he didn’t care about what she said next or why her phone was buzzing. Not knowing that what the “sweet” kid did to him has drawn a lot of attention and people were already talking about it. He’ll have fun with that later, now was time to deal with this… creature in front of him. ”Can you put your phone away? You … really let someone steal my car? Fck this, Paige. I want my car car back, and I don’t care what you have to do to make that happen.”

She merely rolled her eyes in response to his opinions on her driving, now was not the time to argue back about it. Annie folded her arms as he ambiguously walked away. Okay. What did that mean? “So… does that mean yes or… -? You didn’t say no, so surely the silence is a good sign? Are you walking away in defeat because it’s a yes?” She speculated, her questioning continuing until he turned and put a stop to it by asking his own. “Coming? Yes, yes that means yes, I knew it was a walk in defeat,” Annie exclaimed following it up with a laugh and following behind him. “Yeah and while you’re going inside, you know, maybe, put a shirt on?” She suggested with her eyebrows raised to him.

“I kind of don’t have to, I’m navigator,” Annie told a newly-fully-dressed Ricky as she sat in the passenger seat of his car, pulling out her phone and gesturing to it to indicate the directions that would be on her phone. Opening it, her eyes squinted at the map on her phone, zooming in, turning the phone sideways and then holding it away from her before finally coming the conclusion of: “East,” She declared. “No wait, which one is opposite north? There’s a thing to remember it. Never Say E- no wait, Never Ever Sa- yeah got it, I was just joking before, it’s South,” She finally stopped, turning to the unimpressed Ricky. “Okay, wait, okay… it says… the interstate 5. Yes I’m sure,” Annie said, finally leaning back and switching her screen to go onto instagram after rejecting a call from her father.

Scrolling through her feed, she stopped at a post of the driver. “Oh sh!t,” Annie started, turning to Ricky after the revelation to her that it was the triplets’ birthday. “Did I interrupt Montoya family celebrations today?” She asked, rejecting yet another call. Though she couldn’t feel too bad about potentially ruining his birthday, he probably would have made sure it was the first thing he said if it was important enough to him. Plus who spends their birthday walking their dog? If anything, Annie saved it.

As the car journey continued, the distance from a certain location began to minimise, as indicated by the car signs: so it had began to be obvious where Annie was taking them to. Soon enough, Ricky commented about how they were headed in the direction of… said place. “Well, I guess that means my navigation skills can’t be that bad, then,” She replied in a confirmation of where they were headed.

Leaning against the door, Mason watched Veronica who seemed almost… interested that he was looking into her family. Or rather, confused. Either way, he had caught her attention - he knew that much. “You’re telling me that you’re not just as interested as I am to why there was a book from the 1900s in an abandoned house, a few blocks from here? Not to mention the book belongs to your… what? Great great great great great family member? Look, If you don’t want to help that’s fine. I’ll find the information myself, but I thought I might as well give you the courtesy as it is your family,” Mason added - walking further into the room, and taking a seat in one of the desks - facing her. “It’s up to you Veronica - either way, I’m headed to city hall to find some records on it anyways. But I have to say - there’s some interesting stuff in that book… especially since it also, for some reason, involves someone from the Pierce family… yeah… I read… most of it, Which is probably an invasion of Bekah’s privacy, but more than likely she’s dead so I’m going to take that as it being a finder’s keepers type of deal,”

So… Halloween had ended. And what had Hera accomplished?? Absolutely f*cking nothing. This task was too hard. Yes, completing it would have multiple benefits for Hera. Blue Royalty points, the approval of her friends, just general satisfaction. If she could overcome this obstacle, it would get rid of such a pest.

Speaking of pests, did they mention that h0e Phoebe kissed her bestie?? She was probably only interested in his body from the start. They know her and the extents she goes to in order to get what she wants. The gestures might not have even meant anything!! Not even that, but the love of his life died like 6 months ago!! That’s the main reason Hera thinks that all of her kindness was performative. One minute she was sending him to rehab and the next she was sending him down her abdomen!! Hera used to just be jealous, but now they’re actually concerned But whatever for now, maybe at the next event because right now there’s nothing they could do. And Phoebe will be Pheobe.

Maybe there was no solution right now, but there were many distractions. One of them including the lovely Leon Park. Terrible emotional support system, stupendous partner in crime. Exactly what she needs today. The two of them were to skip school today and meet for a sort of gallery opening with the socialites in town. She observed her boy Mason and his beloved nemisis Veronica Parker compete for valedictorian, but personally, Hera wanted other types of power. I mean, a good high school gpa would get you into a good college if anything. Hera would love a college education!!.. if she got bored enough. No offense, Mason and VC, but if you’re living in Beryl Heights, there’s other sh*t to shoot.

Besides, all their AP classes and stuff were boring, too easy of a process. Read textbooks, take notes, take tests, repeat. It was all so repetitive, so… predictable. The socialite life is so risky though. None of it is planned. Yes, the events, the parties, the revenue were, but the relationships and the potential success, or failure never fail to keep them entertained. They were never used to stability, to them… this is what stability is. This is what Hera knows. Since the womb when her mother was “drinking for 2” and after when she slept with guys to see if she could afford diapers for her to when she moved foster homes wondering if the next family was more or less abusive.

She pulled up in the school parking lot, driving their classy black cadillac around all of the other fancy cars to wait next to the building. It’s parking lot was a collectors daydream! The vast space cluttered by antiques, modern semi-car contraptions, you name it! The view entertained and inspired Hera Zhou’s fashionista mind for a minute before remembering to text Leon that they were there to pick him up.

Leon
I’m here.

She pulled out a sketchbook/pencil from her tote bag and began to illustrate the images that came to their mind when looking at a specific, retro, sky blue colored car, getting lost in time until Leon left the back exit. He wore a… suprisingly urban casual outfit. Definitely not socialite friendly. Hopefully he brought a change of clothes. Security will undoubtedly cross his name off the invite list if he shows up in a jean jacket. You might as well be in a calvin klein catalog. She sighed when he got in the car, looking him up and down, explicitly shadily. “Don’t tell me we need to go get you an outfit. You’re lucky I show up fashionably early to these things.”

To be honest, she expected more from her companion. Leon has always been someone to continously earn their respect, even when he’s not trying. So for him to pull this stunt is quite out of character. “Are you okay? This isn’t like you.” They asked sweetly. Yes, he’s her loyal companion since before his b4lls dropped, but that also makes him a… childhood friend? Who they care about and know well. So if anyone’s gonna trigger their parental nature, it’s definitely Leon. Either that or Adlai, which was already kind of happening when his so called friend kissed him.

Ever since the start of school, Jayleen has always found herself hurrying to be out of her home. She didn’t really know why, but she felt like the school was a better environment than there; perhaps that was also what she used to feel. Maybe it was a habit.

A habit that she wanted to break today. That would be too late now, but it’s never too late to fix a mistake. The moment she stepped foot in the school, she could feel the judgmental and disappointed stares of her peers. All she could react back then was confusion, but as soon as she heard the whispers, she quickly strode into the restroom and hid. She really didn’t know what to think, but she just wanted to leave and avoid the embarrassment. This was probably why Jayshin was silent and seemingly mad at her last night, and why he chose not to go to school today. Taking her phone and finally reading the culprit, she couldn’t help but suffocate her phone with her small hand. She took… what? No, there must be some reasons. In a family like hers, there always will be. And that, she must know. Going home right now would be a bad decision, especially if her brother has also heard of it already and told their parents. Oh, Jayshin, the poor boy—just imagine how embarrassed he must also be right now. His sister of supposedly elegant things, turning out to be a dirty addict.

Jayleen shook her head, rolling her eyes so subtly. No, she scolded herself, taking her bag off of the sink. Just as she was about to leave, a couple of girls entered the room and greeted her with heavy looks. She stayed silent, quickly slipping herself out of there. I shouldn’t feel ashamed, this is not mine. She tried to convince herself that, since she really didn’t remember anything about that, it wasn’t true… at least anymore.

Repeating that “philosophy” again and again, she kept her head low to the ground as she walked through the halls, attempting to escape school. Though, just as she was about to, she came to a stop after almost bumping into someone. Ah, yes, the perks of watching the feet. It was Athena Lee, the first person and the only groupmate she stuck with during the Halloween party. Just as quick as her eyes landed on theirs, they were also quick to withdraw and go back to her feet, though she looked at them again after realizing how it might be a foolish thing to do. If she wanted to convince herself she wasn’t guilty of this, why should she do that? “Hey!” she greeted, “It’s you,”

He couldn’t hide the smile on his lips as she started rambling about what he meant by walking away, and it took him a little longer than it should have to gather his composure again before turning towards her with the news that he’d drive. After all, he couldn’t give all of his cards away this early in the game - especially not due to the fact that he couldn’t control his emotions on his features. “Wowww you’re really judgy for someone who needs a ride, you know?” he added after her sentiment about not wearing a shirt but, alas, he did as she asked - coming back down a few minutes later with a white shirt on.

There was a look of doubt on his features, however, when she begin navigating. Was she really… as bad a navigator as she was a driver? God… remind him never to take her on a road trip… well after this one. Maybe he should hold of assumptions until after this one, but how could anyone blame him? Have you seen her - clearly a little directionally challenged… though… it was cute. Finally, after a little struggle, he finally started driving with the vague instructions of “Interstate 5,” soon finding himself on the highway and simply hoping he was diving in the right direction… she did know there were two ways to go down Interstate 5 right?

As he drove, Enrique put the radio on - bored by the lack of conversation besides a few seconds of instruction to ‘keep right’ or ‘stay on the bottom level’. After about an hour of driving, he realized where they were headed - or at least had an inclination that they were going towards the US/Mexico border. While he was going to say something about it, she beat him to it after calling him out on it being his birthday. With the sentiment, Ricky felt himself rolling his eyes “Trust me, you did me a favor by letting me skip Montoya family celebrations,” he responded - saying nothing else as he didn’t particularly want to get into that conversation.

As they were driving - there was one particular moment that caught his attention. Annie’s father’s voice soon met the radio, and the instant it did, he found Annie changing the song immediately. “Not a fan? Can’t say I am either, no offense to your dad. His songs just aren’t… my thing,” Ricky added. After a few more minutes, he was sure where they were headed - but why… that much he didn’t know. “So is there a reason you’re taking me across the border besides murdering me and hiding the body without anyone finding out?”

She felt herself slightly wince at his blunt response to his birthday, clearly not wanting to talk about it. And no, Annie didn’t exactly catch up with Keeping Up with the Montoya’s but, from whatever the conversation was at Halloween and now this, obviously there were some issues. Oh well, she didn’t care that much anyway. “O-kay sensitive topic, noted,” She commented, her eyebrows raised, laced with slight humour. But, dare she say this about anything to do with Enrique Montoya, she understood not wanting to go into detail about family sh!t.

Of course it was noticed when Annie dramatically changed the music, why was her dad literally everywhere? “What? Yeah, you and me both, very tired of f^cking listening to him,” Her jaw half-heartedly dropping in a fake shock of what she said, though maybe she had made it a tad too clear she wasn’t talking about his music. “I know, can’t be that great if even his own daughter isn’t a fan,” She continued though moments later Ricky finally addresed the topic of where they were headed.

“Don’t give me ideas, Montoya,” Annie replied with a smile though it slightly dropped in indication that the next statement were more geniune. “There’s just… something I need to do,” She started, before adding further detail, “Okay it’s something that isn’t technically, fully, legal in the US. No, it’s not like bad bad, though, there’s just laws with, like, parent permission for under 18,” She continued to explain to diffuse from the big statement that it wasn’t actually legal. “And I know just wait literally 48 hours until parent permission doesn’t matter but f^ck that I need to do it now,” Annie concluded, and as she did the car started to slow down while it joined the line to the border they had arrived at. “Oh, my God, it’s not bad, trust me, it’s really not,” She exclaimed after the concerned look on his face grew the more she spoke.

After finally making the drive across the border, Annie gave the last direction of taking a left, to which they arrived onto a beach. “See, nothing bad could possibly happen at a place like this,” She said as they both got out of the car.

Olivia nodded at what Sophie was saying, it was damn true. None of them knew just how much. This place, the people, everything. It was so damn different and the change didn’t get any easier with time. I mean, it’s not like she didn’t like it here in Beryl, but leaving everything she had known her whole life, her friends, the places she grew up in… it wasn’t easy.
”It’s… well it’s not easy, it’s a lot different here than where I come from and in general it’s just not the same, but luckily people here are nice so far and I have some people helping me through it” she told her, which was true, and Fox knows how she’d survive this far here if it wasn’t. ”you said you also moved schools, when did you come here?” she asked

“But I’m here too if you need any help, or anything really.” Sophie said. Olivia smiled in response, the girl really was a sweetheart and she could tell they could be great friends. Hopefully. ”Thanks, that’s really sweet of you” she told her, smiling lightly as she moved a loose hair strand behind her ear ”i think this is the start of something good” she said, glancing at the girl with a friendly smile ”maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am”

”Jennnna, come onnnnn, we’re friends…“ In his fancy shirt he wore once in his life before, Ezekiel was leaning against the front desk, looking at a woman he’s been seeing often. His backpack was down on the floor next to him, a desperate look on his face because of what was happening and because it was too damn early for him to be dealing with this. It was his fault he got himself in this situation and he couldn’t keep ignoring it… ”Ezekiel, I can’t do that again,“ her voice quiet, Jenna was looking at the boy with a soft frown. ”You know I’ve been nothing but nice. I proooomise you, I’ll pay next week. I just…“ now crossing his arms over the desk, for a second he lowered his head, taking in a deep breath. ”I don’t have money right now,“ coming out as a whisper, there was a hint of desperation in his voice. Maybe even hope that she’d forgive him one last time and give him an extra week but her words only made him chuckle to himself. ”I’m really sorry…“

”I can help around? Just… please…“ Exchanging whispers, Zek wasn’t giving up, but neither was Jenna. ”I’m sorry,“ There was a sad look on his face as he lifted his head up again, almost hoping his puppy eyes would melt the woman’s heart and make her say OKAY. But it wasn’t working… it never worked. Sad… It usually does with literally anyone else but Jenna just had to be an exception. ”Next week, I promise! I really need more time…“ tapping his nails on the desk, he closed his eyes preparing for her to once again say no. Preparing to once again say please… Trying not to think about what would happen if she really doesn’t let this slide one more time. Not ready to go and ask for help from anyone close to him… ashamed to do that. ”I can put you in my next music video, huuuh, huh? You can’t say no to that?“ A playful smile on his lips this time as he looked back at Jenna, making jokes just to distract himself from this disaster, not expecting her to say anything… but she did. ”Next week,“ a strict look on her face she tried to hide her smile with. With his jaw almost dropping, Zek jumped over the desk, knocking everything over just to give her a hug. ”Thank you, thank you…And sorry about this…" turning to pick up everything that was now on the floor, a huge grin appeared on his lips. ”I have to rush to school now but THANK you!”

Ezekiel was almost scr3wed, had to catch a bus and was now looking at a bunch of almost naked people on his insta feed. Interesting morning, isn’t it? How and… why did that happen? He can’t lie and say it wasn’t entertaining but… huh? He can’t say it wasn’t nice looking at… Moving on. With his headphones on and backpack over one shoulder, Zek entered the school, looking at his friends (he calls every student his friend, okay) giggling, staring at Montoya brothers (or just one he saw while passing by) since it was their birthday (but that was the case everyday) or just staring at their phones probably preoccupied with the new article about the game. Your usual morning in this fcked up school. It’s been a day since that thing came out but he had no time to check who BR was attacking this time and honestly… he didn’t care. Less drama in his life is always better… Especially now but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t take a look later and defend his friends. With other things on his mind, that was a problem for another time.

Since he arrived early thanks to that little problem he had to take care off, Zek continued walking to the backyard, taking out a pack of cigs as soon as he stepped out on the fresh air. It was a nice little spot… when there were no teachers around threatening him with detention. Taking a seat on the last step, he took a quick look around to see if he was alone before lighting one up and dropping his bag down next to him. With his headphones still on, there was a soft smile on his features, happy with that morning and his achievement before he saw a familiar face. Instantly he remembered what happened almost two weeks ago and found himself walking towards the girl, taking off his headphones with one cig still in his hand. ”Hello, hello miss Foley,” stopping her in her tracks, Zek appeared right in front of her with a goofy smile he managed to put on. ”You look lovely this morning… and any other morning for that matter. I hope that everything is fine,” keeping that friendly approach, he took a long drag before lowering his voice and finally letting his smile falter. ”Is it? I’d be really surprised if you say it is,” whatever he felt, he didn’t try to hide it. He never really does. Approaching a situation with honesty was never a problem for him, just like voicing his opinion because he thought it could help and benefit someone wasn’t.
