Jessica noticed the slight movements within the girl indicating she was annoyed. The subtle roll of her eyes, the pursed lips, the quips meant to hurt her. But was it bad to think that the girl in front of her became even more beautiful when she was p^ssed. She watched as the brunette left her table for a mere second; ordering two drinks before returning (Jessica only hearing as the coffee shop was small enough that with focus, anything could be heard within the small room) - causing her own mind to wonder who the second drink was for. Perhaps that was the purpose of order. To make Jessica think? Though it seemed far more likely that the drink was for someone she was meeting up with - which begged the question of why she was wasting her time sitting across from one Jessica Pierce.
“Well as you see, I have sat down”
Jessica raised her eyebrow for the second time as she leaned further against the chair - mimicking a response of nonchalance as she asked her next question about what she was intently watching on her laptop. “What would you do if I said it was p0rnography?” Jessica uttered - a soft smile on her lips. “Perhaps I’m just having my daily dose of caffeine and morning adrenaline rush while watching, as you call, dirty acts being committed by people I will likely never meet,” she finished. “But instead of making small talk - why don’t you ask me what you really want to?” she finished - though soon enough the girl did.
“Or are you paying for the next flight out of here?”
“Well usually I don’t plan when I disappear - I simply do it. So no… I can’t say that’s what I was looking at,” Jess replied. It was the answer people wanted right? That she didn’t care about why she left? That she never cared. Well. Fine. Why not give the people what they want.
Though her eyes trailed the girl’s body as she stood up to get what she had ordered. She had almost expected the girl to simply walk out at that. After all - what else did they have to talk about. But instead, the girl sat down across from her - causing Jessica to scrunch her nose. “Why don’t we just cut to the chase?” Jess sighed, leaning forward. “You clearly have someone waiting for you so go ahead. Say your peace and let that drink cool while you do… well I’m imagining what you have to say will be long enough that it’ll allow it to cool.” she stated blatently. “Or… we could always skip the talking. Take this elsewhere?” Jessica questioned - more than one implication in her last statement.
