Harrison couldn’t help but let out a chuckle , his eyes glinting with amusement when Corin accidentally addressed him as “Lord.” “Tsk, tsk, tsk,” he chortled, his voice filled with jest and teas., “You’ll become accustomed to it soon enough, my dear friend. You see, I am but a lord in title and, well, more than a few responsibilities, but beyond that, I am simply just Harrison, Michelangelo if you prefer the middle names.” He said giving Corin a friendly pat on the back.
Indeed, Harrison’s words were a honest honey- if he was not a already born a noble heir, a titled man then he would never have become titled. If he was simply just any other high class man or a commoner, the queen would have not even considered making him titled because Harrison was definitely not the type of influence she wished in the ton, not a role model. He was simply a representative of a lot of the high class wishes, what they would wish to do if they were not held by society’s restraints, which yes Harrison is also held by- but see, the thing with Harrison is not the chains he is held by are quite loose. He acts as if the chains do not exist, and always finds loopholes to get him out of real trouble. If there’s a loop, there’s a way and Harrison always found a way. That was what made a lot of people fond of him, he represented all the things they did not have the courage to commit, he represented passion and fire.
He, and Harrison would bodly say was a true art piece, a true renaissance man. Call him cocky, daring, prideful- Harrison would admit he was all this and more, but he was not vain because vanity was just not him, a weakness indeed- that was not Harrison’s. Pride, where there is a real superiority of the mind, pride will always be under good regulation. If one has things to proud of, while shall they not be proud? harrison wondered, did the world expect everyone to belittle themselves and become little so it can contain everyone? If yes then Harrison would not do that- he shall not be little, after all he was everything but little in many aspects- cough and besides he was quite tall, 6’3, in his 24 years of living, he has not really seen a taller man than him in the ton, he was part of the tallest men alive and he wore that as badge of honor- adding more to why Harrison was quite prideful. He did not to reach to be somebody.
"But yes dear Corin, I am a traveler. I have traveled a lot, seen the world, the oceans and the seas have become my best friends. I have befriended many sailors, and many merchants and traders, and I have been to the most beautiful of country. Greece I would say is quite gorgeous, as well as India and Italy- oh my do I love italy, so filled with arts so filled with beauty and yet a lot of restrains. I could write poetry still about Venice, about Florence, about Rome. Harrison said going into details about his favorite places to travel to- he also told Corin about all the beautiful ladies he had met, and promising young gents he had befriended across countries. “One day though, when my responsibilities as earl are less busy, I do wish to travel to Ethiopia. I heard Ethiopia is very beautiful,” Harrison had said the last part in a whisper, his voice a little horse as he stared into the distant before he shook his head. His smile returning, although a little sad, it was there. Aah, Ethiopia, quite a beauty country he had heard. He shall like to see it one of this days for many many reasons.
He wondered- how was life over there for her? he had heard she had crossed to there, reaching her home but how was she? Somedays- that was a lie, everyday harrison thought of her, if she would have agreed to it- he would have married her at the young age he was. Made her his lady and introduce her to high society in England, his mother would have loved her, his sisters too and as well as his brothers, and he could have taken her to the underground, showed her what truly he does and taken her on a travel and they would have been on the top of a roof and danced with candles and the moonlight shining over them- he had a feeling that she would look quite beautifully in Candles.
Harrison smiled as Corin offered a subtle laugh, telling him not to fret on what could have been. "You are quite right dear friend, I should be thinking about what is already happening. My present, the past is past, something that should be held unto but be past. There are so many greats things in the present, like meeting you, and In a way-in a shape or form Ilyas returning here. Though, he shall still one of this days fill my fists, two for what he did back when we were younger, trying to make me lose. Harrison said remembering how he and Ilyas had met as little kids in a race.
Thinking about it brought a smile to his face, though Harrison was still quite upset with Ilyas, the memories he had with him when Ilyas was the Ilyas he knew and not a traitor @ss btch and not one that would leave him so deserted.
He looked inside the building and nodded- yes he was ready to go inside and introduce Corin to the world inside. As they made their way inside, Harrison having a usual smirk on his face that made quite a lot of girls turn and giggle at him and he tipped his hat offering smiles to them, even to one who was already engaged, while shaking his head in laughter. He has not yet found the one he shall dance too for the second round, very beautiful ladies around here but not one thats interested him or were like the arts, they were just boring beautiful paintings but not true ‘art forms’ but either ways that was not what he was looking for right now- someone he could dance with. he was looking for someone Corin could be introduced too. And Harrison definitely had to pick quite well, he could not have his new friend dance with a boing woman on his introduction to England, he looked around trying to see which woman was not already dancing, who shall be good for Corin?
It seemed that all the most interesting ladies were already on a dance, he titled his head till he came upon a brunette. Aaaah yes, a brantley! She did look like one and Harrison remembers her from somewhere but he could not pin point quite well- all he knew though was that she was a brantley and was she not lady Belle friend? She was not titled, that much was through, but access to that particulr brantley girl who was friends with quite a lot noble girls, could open a lot of doors for Corin. Harrison did not know much about her, but was praying that the gorgeous lady could hold an interesting conversation. If she was mean, that was also favorable, mean people amused him sometimes- though he did not know whether Corin shared that same senitment. “That girl,” Harrison said using his head to point to the brantley girl, “Do you find her lovely?”
