”As with everything in life, there are good and bad sides. See, even too much water can kill. Yet, water is something we need to survive. Even too much of a good thing can turn deadly. That is a good way to think about things. Everything in moderation, I believe. I think that is a philosophy that all should follow. Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins, is it not?” He asked her. It had been a rhetorical question, but he would not be bothered if she would answer him. In fact, he’d welcome her answer, hoping that would fuel their conversation. Though he knew nothing romantic would happen between them, he would very much enjoy having a friend to keep up with his banter. He smiled at her eagerness to learn about new cultures. ”It very much pleases me that you wish to learn about my culture. Please, if you wish to know anything, do not hesitate to tell me. I will do my best to teach you. You may have to go to my father with certain questions, however. Edgar nodded at this. He loved the idea of learning about everything he could. ”Of course. I believe it is only right to try and understand those different than you. That is the only way you can learn and become more tolerant and caring. True intelligence is not just filling your head with knowledge, but reaching out to others and asking to know about them. Knowledge is power, but also acceptance.” He leaned forward slightly when Albina proposed they put his skills to the test. ”I would think that if one wished to leave a conversation, they would angle their body away, unlike what I am doing now. As I am interested in what you have to say, I lean forward in order to hear you better. I may also notice the person giving shorter replies, while still maintaining politeness. They may also look glance away from the person, silently implying their wish to be somewhere else. That is what I can gather from the perceived situation.” At Albina’s answer to his question, he nodded. ”I certainly agree. I would wish to spend as much time with my family, as well as try something I had been too afraid to do in the past.”
