Marriage, an honor many dream of, an honor his sister would have dreamed of for herself and him. So, why, why indeed did he not feel honored? It was not to be a love marriage, but Klaus already knew he was never going to have a love marriage. All his life, he had known what he was born for; to serve, to be the man his family wanted him to be, to be a good viscount and thus he knew that of course, he was going to go with the marriage and though he had felt bad for poor Lady Lydia, the sister of Lady Aurelia, who he considered a close friend and a long family friend, for being forced into a marriage, he knew… Oh! he knew that he was a coward for he knew he was not going to go against his father’s wishes. He was going to go against his father’s wishes, nor leave a lady at an altar–he was raised better than that, but still… Watching the wedding before theirs, sweat and horror fell down his spine and he stood up, and almost threw up as he went to the pond to pour water on his face. He needed to freshen up, for if he did not, he felt like he will faint at the wedding.
He did not think anyone saw him leaving, and if they did, it’s not like he won’t return, he had simply needed fresh air but his dear Teddy, his best of friend had seen him and now stood in front of him. Klaus knew that his friend was worried, but he did not want to cause troubles for his friend who was already on ‘hot water’ so he had given him a small fake smile. “I’m quite alright,” He began not looking at Teddy, as he splashed more water on his face. “I simply needed to freshen up…” The way he had said that, was quite nervous, quite shaky… but everyone knew that Klaus was never good at lying, that was why his face was flushed and his head was hung quite low as if guilty of a crime.
