Natalia enjoyed spending time with her friends, although she was still a little nervous about sneaking off without telling anybody. She reassured herself that she wouldn’t be in trouble and they were just having fun and continued on.
“Lead the way.” Natalia gestured to Colette to follow her and walked into the forest. No one else seemed to notice the two of them walking off, which helped to calm Natalia. The forest features a lot of trees and shrubbery, but it wasn’t too hard to find a path that they could take.
They walked around slowly and quietly. Natalia didn’t like the silence, so she asked: “So… what are you doing at camp?” She ducked under a low branch and started to clearly hear water. “Do you hear that? The river must be nearby!”
The both were walking in the woods. Colette could hear the rustling of the leaves and the chirps of the birds. She loved being here. The both were being enjoying the walk without talking until Natalia broke the silence.
“So… what are you doing at camp?” Colette became stiff and answered it with a serious face, “I was a model, before coming here and I guess I’m taking a break.”
Colette heard the distant trickling of the water. “I think the lake’s over there. I could hear the water.” As they followed the sound, they both heard voices of people. One was really high with a squeaky voice and the other a smooth, cold voice. “So we’re not the only ones who have sneaked, huh?”
I heard two female voices approaching, turning to face them. “Looks like someone else had the same idea as us.” I told Rain, waiting for the girls to emerge from the trees. @GlitterFist - Rain @elixr - Colette @passionfruit - Natalia
She got ready for the horse back riding by simply putting her hair in a braid and changing into new clothes. Cora gently put on her necklace before rushing out her door. Looking at her watch, she sighed. “Already late.” She mumbled to herself before starting to jog her way over. Finally she got down there just as they ended speaking. Walking up to her brother,”Heyyyyy,” She laughed.
Dawson was casually hanging out with the different horses. They seemed pretty friendly and he grew fond of them.
“Heyyyyy,” Dawson turned around to see his sister. “Hey! What’s up?” he smiled and turned back at the horses. We could say that he was starting to get obsessed with horses. “Nice necklace, by the way,” he patted the spotty horse. “Isn’t that the one Mom gifted on our 15th birthday?” he asked.
“I was a model, before coming here and I guess I’m taking a break.” Natalia was slightly jealous of this. Of course she’d heard of her, but she hadn’t fully realized this was the Colette she heard a lot about. Natalia wanted to model, but she hadn’t found success yet. She wondered if Colette could help her with that but decided to temporarily not mention it.
Walking around, the two of them eventually stumbled close to a water source.“I think the lake’s over there. I could hear the water.” Natalia sped up towards the water, excited by how close it was. They could hear two other people who had walked away from the event as well. Natalia didn’t recognize their voices. “So we’re not the only ones who have sneaked, huh?”
“No, I guess not. Let’s go say hi!” Natalia brushed through some plants and walked towards the water. She saw two people standing there talking to each other. She beamed and waved at the two. “Hi! I’m Natalia.” She walked over to them. “What’s your names?”
She smiled before brushing the Appaloosa horse next to him. “She looks like the one I had when I was young, Coco.” She continued to brush her. “Nothing much, just wanted to spend some good old time with my big bro.” She teased. Nodding she spoke again,“Aw, thanks. Yeah, I just got it cleaned actually so it is very, very shiny.” She chuckled.
I saw Colette and another girl walk into the clearing, the other girl introducing herself as Natalia. “I’m Jane. Hi Colette.” I said. @elixr - Colette @passionfruit - Natalia @GlitterFist - Rain
Colette could see that Natalia was a bit uncomfortable. “Hey, you okay?” she asked. Was she like that because Colette knew her before? Or was she related to her mother’s scandal? “Are you-” she stopped because she didn’t want any drama here. She came here for one thing. And that is relaxation.
Natalia ran to the voices before Colette could catch up. “Wait for me!” she yelled as she ran behind her. There were two girls. Wait, one of them looked familiar… Jane! It was her who talked to Colette while hiking!
“I know you, you’re Jane,” she smiled at her. “I guess I should’ve expected this…” she shrugged and looked over to the other. “Hi, I’m Colette.” she introduced herself and flashed her a smile.
“Yeah, I remember her! She could do all the cool and funny tricks, right?” he asked her. This was a bit nostalgic.
“Just wanted to spend some good old time with my big bro.” he laughed at that. “Same here, wanted to have a good chat with my lil sis,” he joked and smiled at her.
“That necklace can literally blind me with its shininess. Wait, is that even a word?” he shot her a confused look. While talking about the necklace, Dawson remembered his mom. “How’s mom, by the way? You’re more closer to her than I am.”
She laughed as she nodded, “Yep. Full name Coconut Key.” She said imagining it. “Don’t blame me.” I was around nine when I made it.” She laughed.
She flipped her hair back almost showing off,”Oh I know. I’m just too great too ignore.” She replied jokingly before fixing her hair.
She smiled before thinking,”Uhhh, I think so. Yeah, I’m pretty sure.” She thought. “I made sure every inch was cleaned.” She joked before adding,”Shes alright. She wants to spend more time with you, you know? She misses both of her kids considering we don’t hang around much.” She told him before saddling you the horse. “Wanna take a ride?”
“Coconut Key? Seriously?” he gave her a weird look. “And you remember her name? You have a pretty good memory.”
“Hey, don’t be too narcissistic! I can just walk away right now, ya know.” Dawson crossed his arms and leaned on the horse, making it stumble. “Oops! Sorry horsie!” he patted it’s head and moved away from it.
“I want to too…” he gave Cora a bittersweet smile. “Dad wants to spend time with you too. He’s getting bored of me.” he joked and imitated a sad face.
“Wanna take a ride?” Cora asked. “Sure,” he shrugged and mounted the horse he leaned on before. “I hope you don’t have a grudge against me, horsie! Because I don’t wanna fall off of you and break my arms and legs.”
She rolled her eyes jokingly,”Hey! I told you.” She shrugged. “She passed when I was like thirteen. Mother thought it was a phase so she bought an older one. I loved that horse and will forever be in my heart.”She laughed lightly. “I’ve got Allistair back home anyways.” She responded.
Cora shook her head,”Oh no, you love me to much.” Laughing as she spoke turning to the horse,”Im sure he didn’t mean to abuse you. I’m glad you stood your ground though.”She hid her subtle laugh with a cough as she turned around.
“Well, now I’m not too surprised about that. And as much as I’m a daddy’s little girl…”She joked. “He is literally always busy. It’s not my fault I’m never home when he is. The only time I see him basically is when I’m on set.” She told him.
She mounted the appaloosa before turning towards her brother,”I wouldn’t blame her if I’m being honest. Let’s head out?” She questioned leading the way.
I paused the music I was playing for Rain, looking at Colette.“Yep, the one and only.” I said, nodding at her. I shivered slightly as the wind hit my wet skin. “S*it, should’ve brought a towel…” I muttered, wrapping my arms around myself and pulling my knees up to my chest. @GlitterFist - Rain @elixr - Colette
Colette had introduced one of the girls as Jane, but Natalia didn’t recognize the other person. “Nice to meet you Jane! You look awfully cold, are you alright?” She had wrapped her arms around herself and looked like she was freezing. “Is the water particularly cold?” The weather was quite pleasant out, so Natalia wasn’t cold herself. “It looks really nice, but I didn’t bring a swimsuit.” She hung her head for a second, sad that she wouldn’t properly be able to swim. “Guess I should have been better prepared.” She laughed a bit at herself, trying to lighten the mood. “So, how is everyone?”
“Good morning campers!” I say, stepping up onto my platform in the dining hall as everyone gathered for breakfast. I waited for a moment for the campers to end their conversations before continuing.
“Today we have several fun activities planned. However, we will start off with kayaking at the lake this morning!” I hear several groans and whispers among the campers, and clear my throat to get their attention. “You guys can pair up at the Lake and choose your boats, but steer clear of shallow water and the falls. We will have a few counselors and Lifeguards out there just in case, but don’t do anything crazy and stupid.” I say, making eye contact with a few of the boys. “Enjoy your breakfasts, then you can all get ready and head over to the lake!”

I’d sat down at a table in the dining hall when Daniel, the head councilor stepped up to the podium and said we were going kayaking. “Hmmm. Shouldn’t be too bad.” I muttered, shrugging. I was back to wearing black. Pink wasn’t a terrible color, I just preferred black. I was wearing this. Approachable
I decided to wear something that I could move around in since we were all going kayaking. It was not really my style but it would work. I tried to find somewhere to sit when I saw Jane sitting at one of the tables.
“Mind if I sit here?” I sat down anyways before she could answer.
