Her nickname could be Andro, Andra, Andy, Romy/Rome (as is andROMEda), Meda or Meddy

Yeah well something like that, I didn’t realize the way you spell it could mean the difference between female and male names and nicknames
Thought now that you say this I remeber an old rom com where there was a girl called Andie and in a scene the LIs mom explain to her family
“Andy? Isn’t that a man’s name?” Or something like that
“Her name is Andy, with and ie”

Oh welll … I have a friend called Antonija, feminine of Anton or Antonio or Ante and we call her Tonči and people called Anton for instance are also called Tonči
