CDs or streaming music?

So, I’m interested, what do you prefer to listen to, music on CDs or streaming it? I kinda like CDs better but often I end up streaming music instead cause it’s easier and cheaper :grimacing:

I wish you had put an option for both because I literally like both of them. Buying music whether physically or through digital download really helps them, even though sometimes the label makes more money than them. However streaming is also super useful because I can’t just whip my CDs out on the bus journey to college, streams are also helpful as long as they aren’t illegal (but we already have a topic on that) when I buy CD’s on amazon it automatically downloads to my phone anyway because of amazon music.

Yes CD’s are an old way of listening to music but unlike vinyl you can listen to them in your car. I have many means of playing CD’s and when my parents leave the house that’s what I do. I also like having something physical to hold.

Ngl some of the CD’s I have were quite expensive but for me it was worth it. But that doesn’t mean I look down on people who only stream because they can still form a connection to the artist by listening to them.

Streaming because it’s free and it still gives the artists money, but constantly gives them money instead of CD which only gives them the money when you buy it

Actually streaming gives them a very very very small amount of money which goes straight to the label and would only give the artist a tiny amount

Honestly, do some research and you will know artists get more money if you buy their songs.

Is kinda incorrect because it takes ages for the percentage they get from streaming to be turned into an actual amount.

Both are cool, but streaming music is something I do more often and is more convenient for me.

I used cd :cd: over streaming music service. The most cd I have is Christmas music. Christmas music calm me down.

I prefer streaming music

It’s a lot easier, easier to play whatever you want and whenever you want. I have a cd and a CD player and I also have a turntable with several vinyl records but rarely use them rip
