Sketching can be nice, but coloring is super relaxing and I don’t have to worry about drawing hands

Colouring over sketching ANYDAY. It’s relaxing, and I don’t have to worry about anatomy and stuff when colouring because… COLOURING. Sketching is cool, but… no.

Sketching because you have control over the foundation of the drawing rather than having to work with something already set in stone. In addition, colour theory is a pain in the arse to master and deciding the theme and pallet to tailor to the art piece is easily just as influential to the outcome. It’s true that there are many sites online that can calculate pallets, but it’s still hark work keeping track of the general mood, or keeping the original layout consistent with additional details as you build the piece up.
