I was actually gonna do something like this:
his parents were doing an experiment that went wrong and exploded, killing everyone who was there except him. he lost his arms but due to the explosion, some weird mutation formed in his body with the radiation, causing his blood to turn into something almost fuel like. after doing a lot of research over the following years, he found a way to turn it into a weapon and way of life by studying the physics behind magic.
