Love Dream (yeah I’m too lazy to type the whole thing) for trying to be friendly with it

You could also call them Opal XD I just use Dreamseeker to display the actions of the character and Opal as the thoughts
Hence why I change the banner depending on if she’s alone or not

But yeah- Opal just finds the creature adorable which is both a blessing and a curse for her

But Dream is a nice name as well

I’m just praising them for having the mental strength to find something adorable in a situation like that.
Cuz me either panicks or (in Eren voice) “Fight! Fight FIGHT”

Nice. Done!

Now for background. I have a decent list of backgrounds (about 29). So I’m wondering if you had one in mind or wanna see them, or if I should roll to select three random ones for you to choose from?

Okay, I’m gonna help ya. I would suggest an investigation check 'cause you know what you’re looking for. Like, you’ve seen some kind of door or something but don’t know what’s happening. So you’re trying to investigate where it is.

Also, HINT. If you need explanations at all, you can always go to your character sheet and click on the words, like “investigation”. Then it’ll come up with a box in screen-right telling you about it.

Ok that makes sense, so I do an investigation check, and that would still be rolling a d20, right?

 I’m trying to get the hang of figuring out what everything on there is. Still a little clueless overall on how this stuff works

Yes. (wink)

That’s fair. Does the clicking on the words work?

Yep I can click on them and it gives a description

Cool, cool. Just wanted to make sure. So the big long column with athletics and perception and stuff, are your skills. They’re the ones you mostly use when just looking around or doing stuff. And you roll a d20 for those.

Ok, that makes sense.

So basically when rolling, the higher you get, the higher your chance of doing well. So your proficiency in certain skills really helps. Like when you roll a natural 20 (without adding bonuses), you’re almost always guaranteed a great outcome.

HAHAHAHAHA

Can I attack that thing?

That’s up to you. If you want to attack the door again, you can. If you want to pick it, sure. If you want to inspect it to find out what’s happening, up to you. Or another idea, that’s cool too.

Why do you have to ask? This game is completely down to your own decisions, lovely. I may try to help tell which ones are good which ones are bad, but ultimately the decision is yours. (wink)

Right…then help me decide if this decision is good
I’m a beginner

I’m not going to help you with the decision… but all I WILL do is remind you that when just spoke to the creature, you suddenly heard your own echo from behind you. Also, when you entered, I never asked you to roll initiation, which means it wasn’t going to attack you. (wink) Is that help enough?
