D&D - Virtual Reality Video Game - sign-ups/chat

Hello there, I would also like to join if it’s still possible. I have been playing d&d over a year now so I know quite a lot of how it works and all that.

Also, I wanted to make sure if I go that correctly? I only need to create one character’s backstory and personality, right? I don’t need to create it for the D&D character? Does the real-life character get transported into it?

And last, but not least. It would help to know the combination of the group before making a character, just to not end up with a full martial classes party, full mages and etc. (Anyways pretty much ready to submit a d&d character right away (I have tons). Though might need more time to work on the real life one a little bit  )

Wicked. So for starters, for your Dragonborn Cleric, let’s start with your race. You get to choose your Draconic ancestry…

Choose one:

Alrighty. Will do.

Also, @bpalmer, what is the game character’s Hair, Skin, Eyes, Height, Weight, Age, Gender?
You can also choose a FC for the game character if you’d like…

OMG! Hi Lovely! How are you? It’s been so long, I’m glad to see you’ve returned! (wink)
Of course, you can join too, all are welcome. So far we have one group in the game (Opal, Mav, Ahana, Layla) and you can see who they are in the OP or on the RP thread. As for those in waiting (also in the OP), a second group isn’t ready yet. Though the closest would possibly be bpalmer and RainyDay. With you too, there would only need one more and then I’d start a second group. Though if a fourth isn’t ready then you’ll be waiting for if any of group one dies to replace them in the game.

Yes, you only need to create one character for the RP (info can be found in the slides). Background stuff is randomised for the game character but that’s only 'cause it’s game stuff and your created character is transported into it.

Good to hear, well I’m pretty much ready to roll for stuff and submit d&d character.

Cool. Ah, may I ask what race and class you’re going for?
Also, where have you created the character? Only asking 'cause I’m adding them all to my beyond account to keep them all together. (wink)

Ok cool give me a bit and i will be back with that info

Yeah, I have tons of them created on d&d beyond. Just gonna need to edit a little bit based on what I roll and all that.

As for race and class still thinking about it. Though most likely either human bard or shifter barbarian (or wood elf barbarian, though kinda werewolf-ish too, but the werewolf par only comes in on level 3, of I go wood elf.)

To be honest this is cool and would totally love to see it used because it seems unique.

Ooooh, all sound interesting. Although, @/bpalmer is creating a wood Elf, but two could be interesting too.
Anyway, if you send my a link then I’m happy to copy them across for which you’ve choose. Oh, and you can post your character info here whenever your ready too and I’ll put it in FCs.

Well, shall I roll for stats then?

Uh, sure, I guess I don’t get to see the character first or the decision on which one you’ve chosen.

Well, I mean I chose one. Just wanted to add stats and then send it. But there you go.

Oh, yup. Cool. Thanks.

Uh, quick questions, @Owertym. Why are your base scores for dex and con both 15? Which do you want to be 13 since that’s the number you missed.
Oh, and which background were you wanting or should I roll to select three random ones for you to choose from?

You probably were looking while it was set on the standard array when I didn’t had stats rolled yet, now it should be fine. Also which backgrounds are to choose from? Mine was set on Outlander.

So, I refreshed the page again and all it did was switch your base numbers that you must have changed. Plus, there is no background showing up on yours. Outlander is fine, though the ones I currently have are below.

Your sheet:

Backgrounds:

Well, because it’s a shared link, It doesn’t show you the rest. If outlander is fine I"m gonna stick with it then.

Also, wood elf gives +1 wis, and +2 dex. So 13 becomes 15.

Ah, okay, I didn’t know that. Cheers, another reason I’m glad to have them all together. Which instrument does your outlander wish to have.
Oh, and which lifestyle did you choose?

The only thing with the traits and ideals and stuff is that I wish have them rolled. As that shouldn’t be connected to your real character. It’s the background to game character, not real character.

Oh, yup. Whoops. Forgot about that. HA

Flute and Poor.

Fine by me if it doesn’t affect the way I play my character. You can roll them and add as you need it.

Cheers for that.

Not at all, it is only basically game history before it starts. So it will only (maybe) come into effect depending on paths taken and choices made. You know, if you meet certain people or whatever. Plus, it could give your character advantage or disadvantage on history checks and whatnot. (wink) … Nah, you can roll it.
