I think it’s a bit of both. We shape the world in some ways, but the world also shapes us. What do y’all think about this?

It happens both ways for sure. Each and every one of us is shaping the world, even if just a little bit. And the world is shaping us, world in the meaning as all people.
I think we shape the world because everyday it’s changing because of us. Global warming and stuff. We also adding artificial animals and cloning, we are slowly changing the world and if we humans never hibernate on earth than it would probably live longer than it’s going to
I think the world shapes us and then we shape the world for other people

Depends on what you define as ‘world’. If you mean society and human-ness, the world does shape us and we do shape it. Experiences, heartbreak, fun times, they all shape us and play a part in who we are and how we act. But if by world you mean the planet…
The poor, innocent planet is being destroyed by us. I suppose the planet did shape us originally, and we paid it back by shaping it into a polluted, plastic-filled mess

We shape each other
Actually, I have no idea, it’s sort of like, I shape you, and you shape me loop
I’m just happy that no one started singing the song Shape Of You ~ Ed Sheeran like the students in my grade did when this discussion happened
I’m in love with the shape of you
I believe that this goes both ways! The world definitively shapes everyone, though their culture, their environment, and plenty of other factors. However, we can ecologically change the world and socially change the world. Although the world shapes us, that doesn’t make us powerless to change it.
What do you think @Discussions?
I think a bit of both too.
Depends on who you are. Are you a leader? Do you stand up for what’s right? Or are you passive and follow what everyone else is doing?
It depends on the perspective, or like what the “world” means. If it means the habitants and everything in it, then I’d say… “The world shapes us; we shape the world.”
I don’t even know if it makes sense to you…

I believe it is an interdependent relationship. We shape the world according to our decisions and choices while the world shapes us too with the different situations we face in our lives. Take the current COVID-19, for example
