Aoife - I’ve actually never heard of this name until now. I would’ve pronounced it Ay • oh “ fee, then would be embarrassed for saying it wrong.

Saorise - I’m not quite sure how to type this one out, but I’ll try? Sa • oares ( sort of like hoarse? ) • shay . I have a friend named Saorise, so at least that’s how she pronounces it.

Caoimhe - Again, never heard of this name. Caw • o • ih • mee?

Zosia - Zo • she • uh? Does the si make, like, a shh sound?

Helena - • Hell • len • uh

What about Seamus, Caraline ( :eyes: ), Moraya, Eildrius, and Cerviel?

Goon • ther? ( wasn’t there a blonde kid on shake it up named this? )

Jo • ay • cheam?

Hoars • st

Bree • gee • t

TES-sa

AN-na, with short ‘a’; if there’s only one ‘n’, then AH-na

San? Like if you’re saying Susanne without the ‘su’?

JOO-lia, or HOO-lia (Spanish version)

Okay. I’ve got a few doubts.

How do you pronounce Isla?
I’ve always pronounced it EES-la, because in Spanish, the word ‘isla’ with that prononciation means ‘island’, and I knew a girl named Isla that pronounced her name like that. But a lot of non-Spanish speakers pronounce it EYE-la.

And what about Dacre?
There’s this story called The Queen of Limelight, and one of the main characters is named Dacre. For the longest time, I read ‘Dah-KRAY’. But the author posted an audio confirming that it’s supposed to be pronounced ‘DAY-ker’.

Oh god, there was this one Overwatch character with the similar name spelling.
And whilst I was over here calling her Bridge-it

APPARENTLY HER NAME WAS PRONOUNCED LIKE: Brig-eat-a THE WHOLE TIME, VNESKBVKJRSW
