As a business student it frustrates me that it’s something used in marketing. But it’s more that it is unethical as opposed to hitting my eye wrong .
Thanks
Haha, a lot of people think I look younger than I am when they first see me Guess I just have a baby face
Hhahh, I was already like, uhmm I think you have it the wrong way around
But yeah, unfortunately it happens everywhere, it’s understandable tho since it’s more profitable, I find this interesting to think about. What is ethically okay and what isn’t
Tbh taking business really has opened up my eyes to the amount of lies that are told. Trust me, trust nobody.
Funnily enough I have a photoshopped picture of a sunset on my phone I overdid it deliberately and will PM it to you if I find it.
It’s not okay, definitely not okay, because as you said
If you don’t feel comfortable to show your body in social media and edit it to make it look ‘the perfect body’ then don’t show it at all, you are wonderful the way you are and don’t let photoshop get to your body, it’s a chemical…

For me it depends on the type of work you’re doing to the photo. Changing the contrast, brightening the photo, maybe smoothing out the skin/removing acne are things I don’t think are bad to do. I also think minor changes to the face can be okay. Making your lips a touch bigger is way different than doubling them in size in my book.
At the end of the day though: I’m not going to tell women (or men) how to live their lives and what to do with how they chose to represent themselves to the world. Do I think consister over editing of photos could possibly be linked to mental health and how people view the self? Yes. Do I think it’s bad if so and so from Maine decides to blur out her acne? No.
Once again I think it depends. Trimming a bit of your body to maybe balance things out is one thing. I think it becomes problematic when people look like they dropped 10 pounds in a photo.
Your body/face your choice. That’s one of my mantras. I’m not here to tell people to not use photoshop. If you think about it so much is photoshop-ish. I mean, hell, Snapchat filters effect how our faces look.

Anyone still having opinions on photoshopping?
