Black absorbs all light and reflects none so it heats up faster I’m not too sure if that protects the skin

I think since it absorbed the heat the most, it’s harder for the sun to pass through it.

Yes, white does reflect light well, but heat doesn’t come from the sun only, we produce heat ourselves. Which means, white, the good reflector can reflect our own heat back to our skin.
Black absorbs the heat both from the sun and from our body so we don’t have to cook ourselves. And black can somehow help the heat to radiate away.

Apparently mine is dramatic:
I mean, I wear a lot of black which kind of stands out in the South of France more than it did in NYC, so kinda makes sense. And I do love a good boot, especially this time of year, but honestly I’m either 100% or 0% trying it’s usually that 0% haha. Or I’ll pop a dramatic shade of lipstick on to dress up my outfit.
