I’m still a teenager, but I think that @anon68003072 should share her experiences with being a fossil an adult :innocent::green_heart::eyes::sparkles::smiley_cat::joy:

Oh turning 18 was a struggle for me emotionally because my brain kept trying to tell me that I needed to get a job right that second (usually around 3AM) and that I needed to start paying bills and I wasn’t allowed to have fun anymore because I was legally an adult.

Turns out being 18 is exactly the same as being 17 because nobody believes you’re 18 anyway unless you whip your ID out every 10 seconds and assert your adulthood.

Unless you look old like me… I usually get mistaken for 16 or 17 when I’m in fact only turning 15 on Thursday :no_mouth::green_heart::eyes::sparkles:

I’m also 5’9 and look about 20, by law they need to ID me :joy: but to some of my friends (well actually just one) I apparently look like a child because I donut wear make up or “adult looking clothing” whatever the hell that is

But you are old, how can they mistake you for a child?! :eyes::eyes::eyes::green_heart:

It irritates the hell out of me because this exact same friend thinks that a girl who is younger than me and in my opinion looks alot younger than me looks older than me because she wears make up.

So it’s frustrating to me :upside_down_face:

So will I forever be a kid to your friend because I never wear make up?:green_heart::eyes::sparkles:

Yeah pretty much :joy:

Speaking of make up, I cant remember the last time I put on makeup but no need for makeup when you know that you’re beautiful, true beauty.

Being 20 is great, but adulthood is frightening. :pensive::white_heart:

Yeah, a lot of bills to pay, family, relationships, your health, etc. But it is what it is, get it done, don’t be afraid, have courage, you’re growing, learning, people make mistakes, learn from them. A woman work is never done, all men are not the same, etc. Ya’ll get my point.

Now, since I’m in my 20s, im going to make a long list of what I need/want to do.

I was already working a job by then so it was just another step in the process. I think that was the year before I changed jobs to kroger. I was ready for that time to be over anyway. Didn’t go very well for me because of personal reasons. I’m glad I left that time behind me though.
