Yes, we most definitely do write gods as modern superheroes. The biggest example would be Marvel. They made actual god’s superheroes in the comics. I think we break down the connotation of what a god is which we then add those parts to our heroes and villains. You can dissect many known heroes in books nowadays that will match what we have learned about infamous gods around the world. Japan writes books, games, and so many more cultural deities as characters. It’s something you can see in any bookstore you go to.
