I don’t know why, but I always feel stalked by my phone…
For example
•I never turn my location on, but my phone somehow always sends me ads in the language that is spoken in the country that I’m visiting/ living in…
•As soon as I typed a few sentences in a different language, it started showing me ads in that language…
•when I spoke to my mother in another different language, I got ads in that language after ~5 minutes
•when I talk about something, an add about it often shows up not much later…
So do you feel stalked by your phone and/or the internet?

usally not. but right now I get ads for this new tv show in my country mom talked yeasterday- its properly just convicedens because it just have had pramir
I feel that my phone does as well. Like it opens certain apps without my permission when I don’t want to be talking to anyone and all this stuff. I tend to switch everything off like my mobile data (when I’m out) and when I want to be alone, I just don’t do social media since it ruined my mental health like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
I know! Especially when it opens a social media page where my friends can see that I’m online… I’m still trying to cut off most of my toxic friends by avoiding their social media pages and my phone just betrays me…
Yep. My protector thing on my phone literally tells me that there are cookies that track what I do. So yeah I’m being legit stalked by the internet. But I can’t really do anything about it cuz I don’t really have any money to upgrade my security, and it’s not like I have anything private on here or anything soo…
They do… and it’s not just your phones. I think it’s your WiFi.
I was watching vids about ocean stuff and as soon as I grab my phone and open IG I get a Nat Geo ad (with someone talking to dolphins which I hate them wth). I wasn’t even watching those vids on my phone…
So this is a real fact. Several large companies have come out saying they absolutely do this. Phones are designed to do this kinda stuff.
This is why it’s so scary when these companies have security leaks or get hacked. You can trust them to handle your personal info, it’s their source of income and revenue. But the people hacking them? Who knows what they wanna do with that info
My teacher once told us that you can request a company to send you everything that they have about you in their database. A guy he knew decided to try it out and 2 weeks later he received an email which almost made his computer crash. When he started looking and listening trough it (yep, it made voice recordings, although he didn’t give his permission…) he found out that his computer and phone were almost always listening to him…
And what’s even worse: like 1/5 of the data he received wasn’t even his…
Omggg that’s so creepy tbh. Like- I know that we’re being tracked and recorded at all times but stories like this make me want to form a group of really close hippie friends and go live in the woods
