My answer to this is mostly yes but somedays it’s a no and I will rush to wash myself 
but mostly yes! I find it quite cute! The me washing myself thing is not the fault of the animal.

I like getting licked by my cat, but don’t really like getting licked by dogs since they tend to make my hand feel super wet after licking it, which is just gross

No, not at all. I don’t mind it if it’s on the arm or leg (only a little bit as long as I have wipes) but definitely not on my face.
My skin is very sensitive, so if an animal licked my face, not only will I be grossed out but it will turn red
