“Aah, I get it.” Maya said. Though she genuinely sounded like she understood, Camilla opened last year’s teal mathematics notebook. On one of the older pages, she drew her best version of a guinea pig. She drew a blob-ish shape for the body, added eyes and short whiskers, and two buck teeth. “That’s sad, pigs are cute. Especially baby ones.” Maya said as Camilla drew. Camilla finished her drawing before saying, “They kinda look like this.” She pointed to the drawing. “Pigs are sooooo cute!” She agreed, sounding a bit happier. “And yes, the baby ones! I wish I could have a baby pig!!” “Exactly.” She pouted-“Usually it does harm them. That’s why they don’t test on humans.” She tried to explain, but the whole thing just didn’t make sense to her. Camilla didn’t think animals were any less important than humans. Her eyebrows rose as she realized what Camilla was talking about. “Righto.” She said glumly.
