I worry about the lack of research in the parent. As all the parents in the RP are based of stories (fairy and folk), this doesn’t to be touching much on the parent. Nor does it say much about who the character is. Also, a parent of mother nature, sure, but saying they created everything without mentioning the culture they’re from, is a little contradictory to the other characters in the RP to say she created everything. Every mythology says differently and to say this is unfair to many cultures and many characters.
Sorry to say this, but @ethereal, I think maybe there should be fewer characters who are non-fairytale ones (from folk and myths). Or at least ones that are more refined to a particular story.

Personality : Despite being a black bear, Mal’da loves humans and enjoys interacting with them. Being an animal with heightened senses means he knows when people are sad or happy and will comfort or celebrate with them accordingly. He loves back scratches, belly rubs, and hunting for food in the nearest river. He’s been known to become more bear-like if he feels the need to be protective or is threatened himself. After the death of Mor’du, some hunters went out into the forest to hunt and happened upon a baby black bear all alone, no other wild life was around. They were about to kill it when they noticed it’s eyes…human. With everything they just witnessed, they decided to bring the baby bear to the Queen and the Princess. When spring came and the witch returned, Merida took the baby black bear to the witch’s cottage to ask if she had done the spell on a child by accident. Upon examination by the witch, she concluded that this was a baby bear…with a human soul. She examined him further and figured out that this wasn’t just any baby bear, it was Mor’du’s and the curse had been passed on to his son. She tried every spell in her arsenal, but to no avail. The witch informed Merida that the child may stay this way forever; saddened by this news, Merida and her family took the baby bear in and they “raised it” as best they could. Despite being a bear, Mal’da was able to understand both English and Gaelic as well as their customs and traditions. When Merida’s own child was born soon after, Mal’da and the child grew up together and became the best of friends. When the time came for the child to be sent off to school, they refuse to go unless Mal’da could come with them.

My god, they are nature spirits and when talking about how they created everything they are obviously taking about thier beliefs.
In every culture there is obviously a saying that mother earth creating everything (also me and ethereal had a talk and instead of being literal seasons why are changing it to the children of seasons) of course with the other mythologies they are not going to act like their mother earth is the same or whatever and yes I’m going to change it to add the new info.
Besides also since they have been under the care of their mother earth for long they wouldn’t have known of other mythologies or something and so going to this school so mother earth, their own mother (who is changing because of the new plot of the character) sent them to this school to learn that they are other gods or whatever.

And really trying to limit it who are more refined to a particular story because I said mother earth, presumably referring to my own character mother earth as even I have other characters from other mythologies so I am of course not going to say their mother earth is for all mother earths.

Exactly. Every culture? BUT this not one story for every culture, they all have different names and stories for how it came about. That could get missed up when talking in an RP and something contradictory is said to someone else.
Though I think that’s insensitive to not base it on a culture and just claim to have the parent be an over creator, if you did decide this then why not explain it out in the bio for us to understand too?
Not knowing about their culture and not including it in their bios are two different things. You can still write about a character’s heritage and culture without them knowing about it. 'Cause you are the creator and writer, so you still need to know all this.
They’re Gods now? Didn’t it say in their bio that they’re nature spirits?
I’m not trying to limit you, I am just trying to help you develop the characters a little more. Help to realise that if your characters would end up being the great aunt/uncle of every mythological character in the RP since in every culture, mother Earth birthed so many creatures/Gods. The cultures are not all linked but they would be with your characters, so that’s what I was trying to say.
If this is what you believe, then you may need to read the forum guide again. This is following the thread, as we are discussing a character sign-up, which is what the thread is about.
I don’t want to argue, I was just trying to help. Sorry if you took it as an attack, that wasn’t my attention. I’m just going to now and take a break.

Personality : Alcibiades might be very strong and brave, but he’s very fragile because it was his obviously strong body that made people fear him to the point of exile. He isn’t emotionally strong because when he would be heartbroken, he never had time to heal before he was heartbroken again by another exile. What no human took time to notice is that he was smart enough to learn languages and math and he only learned that himself as he thought people would accept him easier if he learned some manmade concepts like writing, another language or mathematics. And he did learn it, or enough of it when he discovered how much he liked it (he liked being as smart as humans, but didn’t know he liked it for that reason). That’s why he fell for the trick with the boat, because he displayed his knowledge of another lanaguage, he thought people mellowed out thinking how he must be closer related to humans if he took the time to learn the lanauge, instead of the agressive bulls, but they were blinded by his form and his head (bull head). Now he is naturally distrustful of humans and feels paranoid in their company, even though he knows their language and math. He only joined this school last year and his english isn’t yet good, and sometimes he might still talk in Ancient Greek or Hebrew or Sumerian and fill in words he doesn’t know with ancient Greek, Hebrew and Sumerian substitutes. Even though he’s already been here for a year he still doesn’t trust humans (the last time he gave in and trusted them they pushed him overboard to freeze to death), but he does trust the teachers as they congratulate him whenever he does something right and they call him smart or doing good, which is a compliment he never hung around others in the school enough to hear form them. He is a herbivore (because cows genereally are) so he won’t be like his father, consuming humans to stay alive (he hasn’t got the teeth for it). He also uses his sharp horns as a defense mechanism, if he feels threatened he will point them towards the thing he feels threatened by, but up to this point he was most threatened by humans, as he feels stupid enough to be outsmarted again, while he can rely on his brute strenght with other vicious animals and he understands what vicious animals want from him, either his meat or they also feel threatened and fight for protection, but he doesn’t understand what humans would gain from breaking his heart. He also wears trousers only. It’s the trousers his mother gave him, with a iron bull buckle on his belt.
Biography : From Greek Mythology you know that it wasn’t an odd sight of seing different people “interact” with diifferent animals. I mean that’s how Minotaur was born (girl+bull), so it wasn’t strange for a woman in Ancient Greece to do the same thing with Minotaur himself. Alchibiades was more human than his father, but unfortunately he still looked like a half bull half man and people feared he was like his father. Needless to say he wasn’t welcome in Minos where his father’s food was human flesh and they wanted to get rid of him before he became a moster like his father. His mother wanted to nurse him like Minotaur’s mother did, and when she was not allowed to keep him this long, she left with him. Most of his life Minotaur spent in his mother’s company travelling from town to town where people feared him too much to allow to stay, even if they didn’t know the story of Minotaur yet they feared a half-bull creature. By the time he was 7 Alcibiades’ back could carry his mother while he walked like a bull to the next location. When he was 9 his mother let him be on his own now that he could while she married and stayed in the last village they visited together. When Alcibiades came to a village up north that no longer exsists today people tricked him into believing he would be welcome in a ship because of his strenghts (it was the type of boats where a lot of people had to paddle) and he didn’t realise they just wanted to get him closest to Antartica as they can so they can push him overboard (all of the passangers together are strong enough for this) and his body froze and got captured inside an iceberg. Two and a half millenia later the iceberg he was captured in melted enough for him to set himself free with his brute strenght. Since then he’s been roamin the Earth trying to find out how many years have passed and if his mother was still alive. After a few years, Alcibiad got an invitation, not that he knew what it was because it wasn’t in ancient greek, but he found his way to the school anyhow. Now is his first time in the company of humans who won’t banish him.

I couldn’t find the clip with the English Subtitles but there’s this movie in my country about a son of a bullfighter and an animal cruelty activist, and then at one point she looks at his belt and says “I can’t belive it … You have a bull on your belt.” and it fits so well for my character’s clothes lol …
