[ Though Sonny is almost always in a chipper mood, they never seem overenthusiastic-it takes a lot to get them to reach that level of enthusiasm. Instead, Sonny is more of a pleasant person with a calm and collected attitude. It takes a lot to get them riled up or upset, as they are not only rational, but quite understanding. They always try to see from the other person’s point of view, and put themselves in their shoes. This does cause them to often play devil’s advocate-taking the other person’s side, and being slightly contrary. It also leads them to be indecisive, especially in arguments. Sonny is an open-minded individual who is interested in new ideas and new ways of seeing the world. They often believe more than one person can be “right”, and that nothing is black-and white. Sonny cares a lot about their reputation-and never wants to cause drama and a scene, especially in public. They are afraid of people pulling apart their every move and mistake, and holding it against them forever. ]
[ Speaking of grudges, Sonny does hold grudges. They do not believe in second chances…giving them has only led to more pain in the past. Sonny’s trust is definitely something to be earned over time. And just because you’ve earned it, does not mean you’ll keep it. If you break their trust, it’s likely gone forever and Sonny will never speak to you again. Sonny is mature. This does not mean they will go out of their way to avoid you, that they’ll cancel plans so they don’t have to see your face. This means they will simply choose not to interact with you-and they will make this clear as well. Of course, losing someone they trust hurts, but they won’t let that person see the hurt. Sonny is true to their word-they mean what they say…when it’s over, it’s over. However, Sonny despises revenge, and would never try to get even with someone. They do their best to move on-they never forget how someone wronged them, however, they won’t be childish. They hate playing games, they hate the idea of stooping to someone else’s level. Instead, they cut that person out of their life. ]
[ Sonny is a kind person, who is open to almost everything. They will try anything once, whether this be food, art, or an activity. They are free-spirited, and love to have fun, and try doing things that make other people happy. Sonny is an understanding person, as well as empathetic, and good at comforting people and giving them advice. Sonny picks up on the small details about people, and remembers what they are interested in and what they like to do. They get along best with people who are similar-minded, people who have a knack for anything artistic-and people who have great hair. Speaking of great hair-that’s just Sonny’s type. They do their best not to judge a book by its cover, but they can’t help to be drawn to the more colorful people who stand out from the crowd. They are drawn to bright and fascinating personalities. Would Sonny like to be in a romantic relationship…? They’re a great partner, but due to their past relationship, they are wary of romance, and can become curt and scared when someone is interested in them. They learn from their mistakes…and they just don’t want to get hurt again. ]

[ Sonny was born to Iris, the Greek Goddess of rainbows, and a human-in fact the same human who is their older brother, Felix, and older sister, Willow’s biological father. The three of them however, rarely got to see their father, as they were parted from him to be raised on Mount Olympus. They got to see him, though not too often. So, Sonny’s main parental figure was their mother, Iris. Sonny can only say good things about their mother. Iris was a nurturing and fun parent to all three of her children. The children were always encouraged to be themselves and do what made them happy. They were spoiled, of course, and treated equally to one another. Some of Sonny’s best memories are of sliding down small rainbows her mother created for them and their siblings and learning how to create rainbows of their own. Sonny was often around the other Olympian gods, and though they always felt more distant from most, they did pray to some for advice. Sonny was always close with both of their siblings, fights were rare and never serious. ]
[ Sonny was born with synaesthesia-chromesthesia to be specific. Chromesthesia is the association of music and sounds with colors. While listening to music, Sonny can see colors, and they often like to paint these colors while listening to music. Not only was Sonny blessed with immortality, being a demigod, they learnt how to build rainbows like Iris, and also learned how to use magic involving colors. Like their siblings, Sonny simply has to touch and will something to change color, and it will. They often use this ability to change the color of their hair and eyes (sometimes they even do this daily), and to do their makeup. As they have been practicing since they were very young, Sonny can use their color abilities almost perfectly. However, there are times when they use their ability so much in one day that the colors start to fade and become dull, almost as if they are “running out” of pigment. This is never a large problem, as their magic simply needs time to recharge, and will while they sleep. ]
[ Sonny attended school on Mount Olympus, where they had plenty of friends. They enjoyed school as much as they could, and excelled especially in their art classes. As Sonny grew older, they began to experience romantic attraction, though they had never experienced it before. They fell hard for the half-mortal son of a minor god named Lucas. Lucas was handsome, charming, popular, and in Sonny’s eyes, seemed absolutely perfect. And out of all the people at school, he chose them. (Granted, with their bold style and outrageous hair, they stood out) They got serious very quickly. Sonny knew everyone was flawed. But it was like Lucas had no flaws. He always treated them like royalty, he was kindhearted, handsome, calm… This only made Sonny more sure he was the one. But, their family didn’t agree. Though Iris was fine with the two dating, Willow and Felix both reported that something seemed off about Sonny’s first boyfriend. And though Sonny tried to listen, they couldn’t agree, especially with how Lucas made them feel. ]
[ Lucas cheated on them. The mortal girl confessed to Sonny, that she had been in a relationship with Lucas for months. She confessed out of guilt, begging for Sonny’s mercy. Of course, Sonny gave it to her-they were never one to enjoy getting even with or punishing people. When they confronted Lucas, he admitted everything was true-but insisted he truly did love Sonny, and it was a mistake-only a few times. He begged for a second chance. They told him they’d consider it-their first mistake. They went first to Felix-they were heartbroken. They had always been just a bit closer to Felix-but when they told him what had happened, he showed no sympathy, instead telling Sonny he had warned them, and always known something was up with Lucas. He may have been right, but Sonny felt misunderstood, especially with the lack of empathy. They didn’t even bother to tell Willow-though of course she found out via Felix. Instead, they decided to get back with Lucas. Not out of spite, but because they truly trusted and loved him. ]
[ He cheated again. Another mortal girl-though a different one than before. Another confession. More tears, more begging for mercy. More arguing with Lucas. Everything felt like a repeat. Except Sonny didn’t forgive him. They cut Lucas out of their life-for good. And when Felix found out what happened, he wanted to murder Lucas. However, Sonny was able to calm him down. They just wanted to quietly move on, to work on themselves and get over everything. (Though bringing up the riff it would cause between Iris and Lucas’s father helped a lot more). Sonny never goes into detail about exactly what happened. They feel stupid talking about it with Felix, and feel he might have the same reaction as before… and they worry Willow would also react that way. There is no love for Lucas left in Sonny’s heart. But he has affected them-in the way they don’t forgive, and in the way they’re afraid to get into a serious relationship again. Lucas didn’t relent-he would always try to approach them, trying to get Sonny to get back together with him. He even broke into their house. When Sonny received their invitation to Once Upon a High, they decided to give it a try-especially since most of their friends were. They were interested in a fresh new start, and to get away from Lucas. ]
