well they’re this couple, Grainne was supposed to marry a guy called Fionn but he didn’t like him because he was old enough to be her grandfather. So on the eve of her engagement she met this young handsome soldier called Diarmuid and they fell madly in love. She slipped a sleeping potion into everybody’s drink and when they fell asleep they escaped and they were hiding around Ireland while Fionn was looking for them. I forgot the rest, I’m reading it now on wikipedia
