Home or Cinema?

Do you prefer to watch films at home or at the cinema?

I definitely prefer the cinema. It feels a lot more like an ‘event’, as opposed to just doing it at home. And it makes me pay attention to the movie a lot more, as I don’t go on my phone.

It depends. Both have their pros and cons. Like for example, at the movies you get to watch on a bigger screen and the experience is overall really fun, but at home you get to relax more and not have to worry about other people being loud, and the food is free.

I like going to the movie theatre because seeing a movie on the big screen is a cool experience and the popcorn tastes really good, but I’m not a fan of very public places since the amount of people makes me anxious. At home, you can laugh as loud as you want and you can make fun of the characters and stuff.

I prefer watching films at home! I can pause movies to go to the bathroom or get snacks, which I always hate having to do at a theater. Additionally, the snacks at movie theaters are so expensive. However, I do enjoy going with friends to see a movie at a cinema and being able to enjoy that whole experience.

I mean I love watching at Home but in the Cinema there are sugar popcorn’s, drinks, food and the lightning and just the setting is what I love the most :joy:

Cinema. Big screen, the whole setting, it’s an outing! Like instead of going shopping for example, you can go to the movies. You “go out”. As I said the big screen that let’s you watch more clearly, and the whole atmosphere is super nice imo.

I prefer watching a movie at home, I can name a lot more pros than cons. You can pause a movie, switch to another one if you don’t like it, snacks don’t cost more than the ticket and you don’t have to deal with annoying people (my brother though—).

at least if you go to the cinema, you can leave your siblings behind

It’s still kinda the same though, at the cinema there are gonna be people talking and eating, meanwhile at home I have to listen to my brother talk loudly

that’s true

why do some people talk so loudly during movies?

also i’ve met people who literally just got and sit in random seats and are super confrontational about “that’s not your seat” when they probably don’t even have tickets

I love the cinema, it’s probably my favourite place but only if the room is nearly empty since I can’t stand the rustling of bags, there was also this one time I went to the cinema and this child behind me decided to lean on the back of my chair and keep elbowing my head. I didn’t say anything but it was kinda annoying.

With that said, I’ll still take cinema over home because at home I have people being like “WHAT’S HAPPENING”

I like both but I prefer home, you can eat whatever you want since cinemas here don’t allow you to bring food. Also, I like the comfort of being home, i can quickly check my messages and not get yelled at, leave the room to get more food and all the stuff you won’t do in a cinema.

Depends on the movie and if I’ve watched it before and with who I’m going

Still true but hopefully it’ll end :sob:

Lol I remember one time I went to the cinema with one of my friends and it was EMPTY like there were around 10 other people and they were way to the back so we laughed and talked like crazy it was rad

Home, especially during this pandemic.

Idk, I tend to get dirty seats and sometimes I feel too cold in the cinema. Also, HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO PEE WITHOUT MISSING A SECTION OF THE MOVIE?!?!?

At least at home, you get to pause the movie if you need to, anf fast forward it when it’s boring.

i only like to go out to watch movies every once in a while because i don’t like spending too much money. only when i feel like going out then i will want to go to the cinema. i mostly prefer watching them at home because i’m more comfortable and i can access more things whenever i need
