How Do You Tackle Difficult Topics In A Story?

So we all have things in our lives that are hard to talk about. Whether it be sad things going on in the world, or deeply personal things that affect some people. What’s the best way to go about tackling one of these hard to talk about topics in a story?

It really does just take research, care, etc. Time as well. Like all of the best recipes, it simply takes time!

And not quick and dirty research. Proper research should be done.

Oh yes. This is so true but so very very difficult. I passed out many times from writing my researched story. By pass out: slamming my laptop, lay on my sofa and watch YouTube…brain dead. Before starting again.

But once it’s done, the feeling is awesome. A research story can help the world to be a better place.

I know the feeling. I take breaks when I feel like I’ve been researching forever and have hit a wall.
