It depends on what characters formed his name i.e. it could be Xīn-Yí, 欣怡 but I would guess, ignoring the tones. I think Xinyi would be pronounced as Sin-Ea (like the end in pea)
But that’s pretty rough since trying to tell you how a chinese name would in english text is already set up for some mistakes

it’s actually 心怡 but yeah that’s p close to how it’s pronounced (the tones make it a lil complicated as it’s kinda like sineeEE (you can put the characters in google translate and listen how it is, it may not be the most accurate but it gives you an idea)
