I shook my head. “I left” I said. “basically it’s like this: my mom was taken, I left and my father and half sister stayed behind. there’s one more person but I won’t talk about her” I said. “It’s not about you Archer, it’s…complicated, too much for anyone to understand” I said. “I don’t think you’ll be the one leaving, but I will” I added. “it’s how I deal with my problems, so don’t get offended when I do” I told him with a sigh.

“Genosta you don’t have to tell me but I think I can understand .” I say as I sit with him and take a deep breath before I give him a hug. “Sorry if that hug crossed a line but you seemed like you needed it.” I mumbled as I smiled. I just wanted him to know I was a safe place and that I wanted to be here for him because he really seemed that he needed someone to be there for him.

I didn’t say anything for a while, then all of a sudden, I felt two arms around me and Archer hugged me. “Uhmm, what are you doing?” I asked dryly. “And why?” I also added. I never got hugged so this just felt awkward.

“Sorry I just thought you needed a hug,” I got up really embarrassed with how he reacted to me hugging him. “Well Im going to clean dinner up its in the refrigerator if you change your mind that your hungry.” I was now all awkward about what just happened.

I looked at archer as he walked away and sighed. “don’t be, I appreciate the thought, I’m just not used to hugging” I explain and looked away. “can you tell me what it is that you’re so easy to have physical contact with people?” I asked

“I don’t think I know what you mean. Thats just a way that I show I care. I guess it is kind of instinctual.” I shrug as I continue to clean dinner up but look over at him while we talk. “I felt love once and I know how it feels to have it ripped away from you so I don’t know I guess I don’t want other people t feel that.”

“Guess that kind of make sense, it suits you” I mumble. “but I’m actually a bit on the opposite side of this, I know people you thought were family turn against you and how much worse it feels when it happens from them than from others” I explain.

I shrugged. “It’s more complicated for me but let’s drop it for now, okay?” I asked. “How about we play some kind of game instead” I blurred out but regretted it right away because I had no experience or idea of any type of game to do, or how to for that matters.

“Cards or board game?” I ask asI smile at him. Genosta just made me smile.“I can teach you either.” I came and sat on the couch with him. “Im happy you came over again. And Im glad you’re staying here.” I lay down with him and smile.

I turned on my side after Archer laid down next to me so I was facing him, but we ended up closer than expected. I cleared my through and decided not to make a big deal out of it. “I’m cool with anything, you can pick what we’re going to do,” I said nonchalantly.

I smiled he was really close when he turned to face me. “You sure you’re the one that wanted to play a game.” I was trying to keep my voice from showing I was kind of nervous that he had ended up so close. I didn’t want to get up though so I thought about how I could prolong having to get up to get a game.

I nodded and put my head on my bent arm. “Yeah, it’s fine, I don’t know much about playing games but I heard it’s a good way to kill time with someone without having to get into a deep conversation,” I said with a shrug.
“If you don’t want to play a game, that’s fine too” I added.

“Yeah we can if you want we don’t have to im fine with whatever you want to do Genosta.” I say as I lean on my elbow and I look at him smiling. “You make me smile Genosta.” I mumble. I wasn’t sure if he heard me or not when I mumbled that he made me smile.

“I don’t know, I’m so used to be alone, so I have no idea what to do with you” I said chuckling. suddenly I heard him mumble something but couldn’t understand anything but ‘smile’ and my name. “Sorry, what was that?” I asked in response.

I blush a little and struggle to repeat myself clearer. “You make me smile…” I mumble again as I look away from him. I was hoping that he wasn’t just gaining me repeat myself to be embarrassed.

I started to chuckle. “I hope you mean it like you said and not mean it like you feel like laughing at me” I said. “But if you do mean smile, than I have to answer that you are a weird guy” I said with a lighter tone.

I catch myself giggling softly as I smile. “No you just make me smile. You’re easy to talk to and it feels like I have known you longer than I have.” I say as I try and bide that I was blushing.

I laugh and brush off his weird guy comment I knew that he meant nothing by it really. “That is still weird to me that I would be the only one to feel like that about you Genosta.” I push my glasses up. I hadn’t even realized I had them on. I had showered and was sitting around in my pajama when Genosta showed up.
